If it only had two faces, it'd only be visible from the front and back. |

I'm lost.... I'm going to try to simply what you said, correct me if I'm wrong.
Terrain with softer slopes than a steep ball halfway in the ground? If so, supported. If not, I have no idea what in said heck you are talking about. |

It doesnt HAVE to be softer slopes.
Go into Halo Combat Evolved for PC and look at the multiplayer maps.
Its a bit like those. |

Most things are made from triangles. Squares are made from 2 triangles put together.
This idea is to make maps like you find in REAL games. They can have ditches with no right-angles, hills that slope more gradually or cliffs with corners that are less than 90 degrees. |

If you want to see an example of what we could make with this, play a REAL game (Like Halo PC or Fallout 3. I mean ANYTHING with non-boxed maps) |
