From the day you realized who you were, you knew there was a difference. You could do things. Things other kids can't. Say, for instance, that little 1st grader Bobby stole your cookie. A minute later, he would be bruised and teary. You didn't touch him. You have powers that only you realize. There must be a mistake. How could you, the most ordinary kid, be different. It was all revealed when you were 11.
Two men rang your doorbell. They spoke to your parents, for a long time, while you were watching TV. They spoke of camp. A special camp, where kids like you learn things. Your parents agreed. The next day, you were at some sort of ripped off summer camp with no working bathrooms. But underneath that, was a facility for the different kids like you. Where you could take classes on how to use your powers, and how to control them.
