Text chat should be banned. 90% of the community is over 9, meaning almost everyone here is capable of using correct grammar. If you type like 'omg ur a noob if u don donate plz i need mony' it just shows that your not bothered and couldn't care less about what your saying. It makes it 50 times easier to read if you use grammar. I'd rather make friends with a 5 year old using grammar, than a 14 year old without grammar. My point is, text chat is for idiots that can't be bothered to press buttons on a keyboard.

I support. All you ignoramuses not using simple capitalization and punctuation deserves what comes from the punishment. If you mispell a word that's fine. But a simple period isn't hard at all. |

It should be banned on the forums, where it is required for us to use decent grammer, but I think it would be rather pointless to ban it in game. Yes, even I use "text speak",like "Afk, need to take up laundry", or "Brb, refreshing game before I lag out", or even "OMG! I PASSED MY MID-TERM!", and I have proven multiple times that I can type in decent grammar when I need to. |

I think you mean "you're," which is a contraction for "you are."
I agree with you partially - I think text chat is stupid at times, but still shouldn't be banned - but you might want to brush up on your own grammar a bit before attacking that of others. |

Cup, it's not the admin's fault. But it's the player's problem. Anyone over the age of 12 knows that if you can't write with proper grammar than no one will take you seriously (Especially as it pertains to collage/jobs/etc. Which, by the way, is the majority of you life). So I figure you might as well get a head start on it now. It's easier to start healthy habits when young rather than old. Plus like I said, you look like an idiot without it regardless. |

But I can understand how that would follow under the apostrophe. As it doesn't appear too common in other languages other than for accents..
And for people who don't speak English well I would gladly make an exception for a more frequent lack of grammar. However born and raised as an American/Englishman or raised and English as a primary language constitutes no exceptions besides the occational typo. I absolutly abhor those who blaitnatly refuse to use the fullest extent of their knowledge. |

Tl;Dr:
If you don't speak English well (As it pertains to it not being your first language), then a more frequent lack of grammar is acceptable. However if you were born and raised around English and adopted it as a primary language then there is no excuse past infrequent typos.

Also it seems that if today's youth (Mainly Americans) applied themselves about 5% more than they already do, there would be no more ignorance and stupidity. Or it could just be not America as a whole, but just my city. Everyone but ~8 people i know are complete idiots, but are capable of so much more. |
