Why do we have shutdowns?

I always like to play games alot on Roblox, but it sometimes get me shutdowns. That reminds me, why do we have shutdowns anyway?

Theres 2 kinds of shutdowns. One is the Shutdown to ROBLOX's Games. The owner of the game is able to shutdown his own game. Second, If its so slow when your trying to get one ROBLOX and play there can be errors and make it shutdown.

/\ || || || What he said + Roblox is a live game, meaning they can't update the game while its running. When they apply new updates to Roblox, they have to shut down the systems and restart them in order for them to become effective (sort of like when an update/program is installed on your computer and it asks to shut down your computer).
