Help With Dimensions?

I set my video dimensions to 16X9 It fills up my editor's screen completely like it should look, but then when I "produce" the video. It ends up all boxy :P WHY

You are probably using "Render as..." of sony vegas, are you? Well look at the "Template" of that windows the comes out. Choose your desired Template and then render it.
