I only know two languages fluently or near-fluently, English and German. You're lucky, you had someone who could actually teach you. I've looked through tons of search pages, and either the sites aren't free, or they just don't convey the info clear enough.

In Russian, It may be one of the most complicated languages to learn, because there is almost no similar words to english (names dun count) there is over 30 alphabet letters and its really confusign at times

I've memorized all of the Cyrillic alphabet letters, and some words, but the case system is really confusing.
