Suggestion: Wiki writers deserve SOMETHING for doing all the work they do to make the wiki so awesome. Many users have learned to script, or been helped in one way or another by the wiki, and that's due to the people writing articles and making the wiki awesomer every day. Well they deserve something for making the wiki awesome.
Suggested benefits:
1. A hat. Just a simple hat that looks cool and easily proves that you're a wiki writer/editor. The first step to being recognized for your work, is to actually be recognized as someone who does that work.
2. A badge, for the same reason as above, just for people who want the recognition on their profile instead of on their head.
3. A little bit of cash. What's their motivation for actually doing anything on the wiki? Well, I propose that wiki writers should get at least SOME income. Or at least the editors should earn some money. They're the ones who have proven themselves as advanced members of the community, even higher than the writers and stuff. They should get maybe an extra 10 tix per day or something, at least. Note: This should only apply to active wiki editors/writers.
This is a point that some of the writers have been trying to make for a while, and I feel that it should be done.

There's a lot more people in that group just for the communication with wiki writers and/or to show that they support the wiki than there are actual writers. You never know :P |

Wiki writers have user pages. Yours doesn't exist. It's easy to figure out for sure that you aren't a wiki writer, plus, someone who is as dumb as you seem to be would surely never be accepted into the wiki.

THIS ISN'T JUST ABOUT THE MONEY. There's two points NOT about money, and there's only one that IS about the money, and I wasn't so sure about that one. I, along with some other wiki writers, really just want to be recognized for the work we do. Currently, we just go ahead and edit the wiki all day and get nothing in return. At least a little bit of love would be nice D: |

The moderators should have to review all wiki writers before giving them benefits. Someone could write a page every single day that is just full of spam, and if it wasn't reviewed by the moderators, then that guy would get a badge, a hat, and free money. If you actually CONTRIBUTE to the wiki at least once a month, and your contributions are actually RELEVANT, HELPFUL and NOT SPAM (e.g. a scripting tutorial) then you should get these benefits.

@robloxkid08: The wiki is already pretty well moderated by the wiki editors, who are all mature people. If anyone is spamming the wiki, their account would be terminated permanently within a few hours. And that really hasn't been a problem ever, I don't see why 10 tix or so would make it one.
The wiki isn't like the forums, we actually have a good system worked out over there :) |
