There should be a ROBLOX chat where you can chat with all the ROBLOXians at once. This chat bar should be in between the 'My ROBLOX' and 'Games'. It would be like a giant chat space. You could also send FR like how you do in-game. This would be an easy way to meet friends for new ROBLOXians.
