Although they already have many different hat designs with different textures, it would be more efficient to make something that you could click and buy a different texture. You could make it so when you clicked on a hat in either the character editing or catalog it would make a submenu pop-up where you could pick which color scheme you wanted. The hat would come with the default color scheme and from there you could buy variants.This idea would not only allow further originality among the players, but it would also give Roblox alot more money.
Note: This could also be used for bodies. |

Epic Support! It would make retexturing MUCH easier. Also you could make your own textures and sell them or give them out for free. Everyone could do both, by the way. :3 |

No,it would mess up the whole retexture idea. Most of the retextures that ROBLOX makes have varying prices. The most increased value from a retexture is the pink beautiful hair for beautiful people. It costs more than 20k compared to the original. |

how would it mess up the re-texture idea? its more organized, it gets Roblox more money AND its good for people who dont have the software to re-texture and even then they can only get that in a game where the model is |

It would ruin the dominus. Since the hat is made using the texture it can't be completely customizable. you would be paying for more than 1 hat.

you guys dont seem to understand. NO USER-MADE TEXTURES. I'm saying you could buy a hat with a default texture, then from there you could but other textures. Since Dominus was brought up, i'll use that as an example. Say you payed the required robux to get the original white Dominus, from there you could but the texture for Dominus Frigidus or Dominus Infernus. |

I understand what you are trying to say, Littlebro. I had a similar idea to this not too long ago.
Let me get this straight:
Like buying anything from the internet, you click on the hat you want and are given an option as to change its color or pattern, but any additional changes to the default would cost an extra amount of money to the original default design.
So, the Dominus and the Dominus Frigidus will still be separate prices, but put into the same model for the buyer to compare.
It's basically grouping all of the different versions of a hat into one select menu.
Hopefully that minimized confusion for you people... |
