User-Run Servers

Pretty self explanitory..let people run their own servers, it would be their option to put in a pass or not...this would allow for private servers, but it would not force ROBLOX to waste valuable money on extra servers for people's selfish reasons..

so pretty much make a Private Server Only For People u want? Wouldn't Be bad cause i always being bugged by some kids when am just hanging around with my friends

This probably wouldn't work. To run a server, you would need good internet connection, and all of the people in the User-Run server would need good internet connection also. Roblox would still have to pay money for that. No support. Sorry. ~Nick

Make a friends only place, or put in a script that allows only a handfull of people.

Only have a minimum of 6 people in each server and make it "Friends Only".

Actually, it would not require much; a standard-fare gaming computer can problably hold around 5 people...a standard-far gaming internet connection...same deal...where is ROBLOX spending money in this? All they have to do is develop the server software...which can't be too hard...okay so a one-time fee...but THATS IT Remember, an Intel i5 2500K+8GB of RAM = Server potential...

@nick It dent cost the company that makes mc to do it. All it is is connecting to a server. They also have their own servers (probably) which are cheap in the long run. So, your logic is not legit. OT Fully support.

you guys don't seem to understand... This would allow YOUR computer to run a ROBLOX server....heres something like how it would work ROBLOX loads YOUR place onto your harddrive, and when someone logs on, YOUR computer does what ROBLOX's computer usually does....very little money spent on ROBLOX's part...you people obviously don't know what "hosting" is. There are two types of incompetence; the lack of knowledge and the lack of understanding, this is a lack of understanding because of lack of knowledge.
