To many noobs use free models. It gets annoying because both places are free-modeled and neither deserve to win. Everytime I vote for one I like vs. A decal on a brick. The decal was the one that would have got me accuarcy. So here's my suggestion.
In studio mode for the contest place the free model section should be taken out. They have to start with a blank baseplate, and the insert tool doesn't have a free model section either. This will make it so it is compeltely built by them.
