Sure, you guys (Roblox team) have made updates for the scripters, I'm not saying you are. But you guys don't do anything to motivate people to script their stuff. In this idea I suggest many ideas that hit many targets. 'TLDR,' 'Too long, didn't read,' 'Not many people can script,' and, 'Scripting is hard,' posts will be ignored.
I - Contests; Chapters 3;
II - News; Chapters 1;
III - Basic Copyright; Chapters 1;
IV - Scripting in General; Chapters 1;
V - Scripting Isn't Hard and Many Can Teach You; Chapters 3;
VI - Age Isn't a Matter; Chapters 1;
VII - Put, 'IV', 'V' and 'VI' in the News; Chapters 1;
I - Contests:
Chapter 1;
I think, 'Free Models,' and, 'My Models,' should be taken out of the Toolbox bar. Why? How is it fair to win a contest, using other's work. Also, what are the chances of you having a model you made in a contest ( Not saying it's not possible, but honestly unlikely.) Besides, if you made a model once, I'm pretty sure you could do it again.
Chapter 2;
In the script menu, disable paste in general. Why? If you so wish you could just go to another place, or Scripting Helpers and copy and paste a whole script and get credit for it. Disable the hot keys for it, too. Yes, with C++, it's possible to stop CTRL+V and CTRL+C from doing anything. It's like magic.
Chapter 3;
Don't allow multiple places, or .RBX files from desktop to be opened while building a contest place. Not only, could this mean copying of some one else's work, but this could also stop laziness and cheating.
II - News
Chapter 1;
The news should, at random, have scripting motivational words. Whether it's actually giving a tutorial, or something like, "Anyone can script, even you!" Now, most of you are probably wondering why? It's easy to see that if you feel that you can't do, or learn something, you quit, or find an easy route. If you get some kind of encouragement you feel as though you could do something.
III - Basic Copyright
Chapter 1;
Under basic copyright laws and rules any work written and can be publicly verified as your work it's protected under copyright. Meaning as I type this, it is copyright protected and without my permission you cannot copy this thread. Why am I bringing this up? Because, Roblox should enforce anti-plagiarism. With that saying, they don't do much with robloxians stealing other robloxian's work.
Fix that.
IV - Scripting in General;
Chapter 1;
Scripting isn't something that one can learn in one day, with that said, neither is learning a speaking language in real life. Not many people realize that learning a scripting language and a speaking language are very similar. Of course, you don't expect people to be speaking scripting languages out loud. That would be silly. But what I'm saying is that, every speaking language has their own, or 'borrowed' words and grammar. Those same concepts apply in scripting.
V - Scripting Isn't Hard;
Chapter 1;
How is scripting hard? Some would say learning a scripting language is easier than learning a speaking language. Why? Unlike speaking languages the rule never really change. In fact, you can use your own words if you wish, on certain parts, which usually languages rarely can. What is hard about, 'Value2.Value = Value1.Value + 30'? Sure it looks confusing, but it's easy to figure out.
Chapter 2;
Many people can teach you how to script, I, Pugzy, can teach you how to script the basics if you so please. PM, me if you wish. If you need help learning how to script you have people in Scripting Helpers and many group have devoted themselves to teaching people how to script.
VI - Age Isn't a Matter;
Chapter 1;
How is age a matter? Sure, it helps on spelling I guess. But after all, I've seen eight year olds with better grammar and spelling than my high school sophomore classmates. Plus, like anything else in this world, it takes time and practice to do something. When you learned to walk, you never just got up and walked did you?
VII - Put 'IV','V' and 'VI' in the News;
Chapter 1;
Instead of putting your usual filth into the news, why don't you put something useful in there instead. Why am I asking to put these in the news? If I just post this here, some will read. Some may leave here with more knowledge, but if you put this in the news, it could reach more users and make more members learn these dark arts.

Free models help people understand how things work,they should have more tool and options which allow u to 'tear it apart' and look at all the scipted bricks (if this isn't already there). though when u go into play mode they removed and are only viewable and usable in build mode |

Let me show you a timeline of how people work when they join roblox:
1: they play games
2: they learn that they have a place, an use free models to create a game
3: they learn about creating their own work, and start to use their own models
4: they learn that they can script and write their own programes for thier models
5: they look up to Telamon, and pretend they are Telamon |

Scripting, is for pros. Most people who WANT to script, doesn't know what a c-frame is. But if you are SOOO desperate, copy and paste scripts off of the wiki.

1-1 Yes.
1-2 Actually, what they SHOULD do is disable text copied from an outside source. If the text was written in the place, then you should be able to paste that copied text elsewhere in the place. However, if the text was written in a diferrent location, then it couldn't be pasted into the place.
1-3 Yes.
2-1 That could seem way out of context to some people, like right now. We're in the middle of the Korbloxian invasion, and suddenly, the News says "YAY SCRIPTING WEEHAW" out of the blue, leaving 90% of ROBLOXians going...

Perhaps, instead of random words of encouragement, they should create a tutorial series in the news, not as a non sequitur, but at the perfect time, when this whole Korblox thing is over and nothing storyline is going on, finishing each post with "Anyone can script. Try it today!" and putting it in a new section: Scripting or something.
3-1 Yes. However, the ROBLOX staff would have to look at join dates, because not everyone puts their name/signature of some sort in their models/other creations, making them liable to copying.
7-1 Yes, but put them under the Scripting section and add them on to the posts of 2-1.

Yes, but this is for contests. In my opinion, why would you join a contest if you can't make it yourself. This idea wasn't to take out Free Models, but to remove them from contests to make them more legit.

How is it too difficult? Lua scripting is quite basic. Have you ever tried a programming language such as Java? Try learning Java. It's much harder. Plus, I never said a 4 year old NEED. I never SAID 'need'... Take that out. I NEVER said anyone NEEDS to learn scripting. I said Roblox should enforce it more. Make more people attracted to it. And I pointed out, age isn't a problem. It's not.

Pros? Not really, most people who know how to script on Roblox, know nothing of the 'pro's' programming. And COPYING IS WHAT THIS THREAD IS TRYING TO STOP.

Thing is; I truly do love the concept of scripting, I would love to do it, but nearly 98% of which comes in one ear about scripting goes out the other. I simply can't store it in my head. I try to, I re-read the wiki nearly 30 times.. I simply don't get it. Encourage me if you may, but I simply can't script. |

I need this, there are to ways to learn languages, the formal way, (going to spanish school) or the informal way,(Listening to people speak it for a while, same way you learned to talk) same thign with scripting |

Okay where else are you gonna get the hat and it's texture if you don't have it and you don't have enough money to buy it or you just don't wanna waste your money to get it just to retexture it? And if there are no free models then you can't retexture a hat to be made into a hat that goes into the catalog? Oh and have you ever even done a retexture?
