I think that there should be auto pilots in planes. To use the auto pilot, there would be some button on the screen or a key on your keyboard you would hit to go somewhere. In order for the autopilot to take you to place in a plane, you would first have to mark a place for autopilot. To mark a place, you would press the autopilot while on a baseplate and you could name it anything. The name would not appear anywhere but your autopilot gui. Now, on how to choose where to go. To choose where to go, you would click the autopilot button or hit the key, and a gui would pop up. The gui would have buttons, labeled with the name of different places you marked. You would hit one of the buttons marked with the place you want to go there, and the autopilot would fly you there.

Script it, use a free model, or Learn. It already is doable, And I believe the plane keeps going if you just hit / to chat and just leave it if you were to go afk.

Doppy, what if you aren't just going forwards, or what if you forgot how to go somewhere?

Scenarios like that would be impossible, And why would you go afk (or not pay attention) IN THE MIDDLE OF A FLIGHT? Most afk people usually never fly in a plane anyways. also, note that place maps never are hard to navigate once you are used to them.

ask him to make an auto pilot, then. The game can't detect what a plane is and what isn't

Why does everyone say scriptable? What if you don't want it for your place, have a place, or can't script?
