IMO, the new Group Layout a cool update, just doesn't look all that good. The previous style was maybe a tad more... stylish?
Websites gain activity not just from the services they provide and their ease of use but their appearance as well. The current style seems rather... basic.Thus, it is logical to presume that if such is not handled, it is likely Roblox will lose activity, thus the company will take a blow from their failure to respond to issues such as this.
Some ideas might be to go back and stylize it more, make certain areas pop out more or more attractive to the eye.
Perhaps allow us to select from pre-set or even download our own backgrounds for the group page? These could easily be moderated in the same manner our Decals and outfits are moderated before we may upload them.
Pre-Set themes could even work. They could establish a few backgrounds and styles/layouts to match the themes the website is already divided into such as 'Sci Fi' and 'Adventure' or 'Pirate' and 'Fantasy' and so on.
(For example, this could be a background if they went with a 'Season' based theme; this would be Spring or Summer: http://www.roblox.com/--item?id=61305852)

Or we could use all the past layouts of groups, just like the site allows certain past themes. Either way, something else is going to come with the new layout. Just wait. |

Choosing between different era's of appearance could be one option; I prefer the idea of our own backgrounds/themes a tad; it's something that has been discussed before and I see it completing the group experience.
If I am in say the "Evil Space Empire, Oh no!" 'The Vaktovian Empire', then maybe I would prefer they have a dark background of space with their ships flying to/from some destroyed or annihilation world or something cool like that. it would complete their theme and my experience within the group.

I never said take that away. I was sort of saying leave that in, and also do what I said. You suggested custom themes, and I suggest switching to past layouts. If you put them together, then I guess we've got a suggestion. |

Both ideas could be implemented really.
Right now I can go from say Roblox 1.0 to Roblox 3.0 if I so chose to. They could establish so that changing that also affects the group page layout (should it not do so already).
The background idea I have could be a Roblox +3.0 feature.
They could make it one of the many perks of BC that you can change your groups layout OR they could even just let BC members have their own personalized look, IDK.

Basic isn't a bad thing. Basic is simplicity, and simplicity is ease of use. And plus, it really isn't that basic. It's more intricate than the last one, which I like. HOWEVER, it does make it look a bit unprofessional. Which appalls me. |

I never said basic was bad, I simply mean basic does not catch the eye. Basic does not maintain the interest of the player population. Basic does also not always look that great. =\

Normally I could have said No. But seeing Somebody actually Sort of Liking the update and suggesting ways to make it better is a Total Yes. ROBLOX could work on it even if it is new.

See, it annoys me that everyone just jumps to yelling and shouting and 'demanding' (as if you can really demand that the company and it's employee's do something; what are you, their share-holders? No? K, it's settled then: You have no power...) that the update be brought down before they've even really given it a chance when they could easily just give the update a try and make some suggestions for what could be fixed or improved or maybe suggest some new additions/features for the update.
People need to QQ less and get over themselves, we will never get anywhere if we spend all our time complaining about issues rather than fixing our issues.

Good job great way to put it! Its a nice way of saying your going to lose roblox members if you dont change it back. Matter fact thats exactly what will happen. I have a group of 2500 members and we have a daily income of 20 new members. Recently becuase of the new format people cant look at my group description and dont understand how you are required to join. This slows down my daily recruit income and is losing members. I had things organized and planned out and now its ruined. Mark my words if this is not fixed roblox will lose an OBC member being me! |

That is not my point at all. While I agree there is a fairly high amount of unhappiness over the new layout, the layout is fine, people are just not use to it yet.
I predict that once people get use to it they'll love the new layout; it makes some aspects of clans easier in fact...
My suggestion, though, is simply to not make it so boring looking. I could of put together that design in about a minute on PDN using maybe five tools max. A feature that could make everyone happy and even be beneficial to the robloxian clan world may be themes or backgrounds. Read the original post for details and an example I made.
