People can insert whatever words they want in a script, I just read a script, someone made an anti curse script, and it contained every cursing word in the world, and roblox doesn't do anything about it? Please fix this...

if your making a game, and you look inside a script, you can put whatever you want inside of it.

Yea but the people who play it can't see whats inside the script, just ignore the words if you are editing the script.

You can take it out yourself.

@both of you, do you really want to see someone write about his relationship, and how they "played?" I don't think so, I think it should be a rule to not write cursing inside of scripts.

It doesnt matter. If a script tells a persons life story its a free model so just delete it and ur done.

but does that mean that others should see it?

This isn't a major problem. A script is like a diary. You can really tell whatever you want, without others knowing.

people publish these "diaries" to the free models. Issue? Yes!!!

Can I ask you something? Isn't them making an ANTI-cursing script a GOOD thing?

isn't roblox supposed to take care of that? Users have no business writing code to take care of roblox's jobs.

"I just read a script, someone made an anti curse script, and it contained every cursing word in the world, and roblox doesn't do anything about it?" The irony.

It may be ROBLOX's job to take care of curse words, but even ROBLOX can't tell ALL of the different ways to make a curse words. Think of it as a player just buffing up ROBLOX's security. It's not a bad thing, it's a good thing. ~>Zero-sama<~

@Jacob "Isn't it good if it's an ANTI-curse script" No, it is not. Anti-lag scripts in free models make the place lag so hard. Anti-curse scripts contain every curse word imagined...

To begin with, anti-lag scripts don't create lag, at least, not for me. for the ant-curse scripts, I still say its a good idea, or, atleast it was when they started. First time I had seen an anti-curse script, ROBLOX didnt remove curse words, or, atleast not all of them. Now, they do, to the extent that its not got letters replaced with symbols such as @ or numbers like 7, 5, 8, 1, or 0. With an anti-curse script that is player made, you can edit it so that even the substitutes result in being removed from the place or loopkilled via the script. All-in-all, the anti-curse scripts are more effective than ROBLOX's Curse Filter.

@jacob, wouldn't it be better that roblox fixes it than have users google "curse words" lol :3

#55442978Tuesday, September 27, 2011 3:20 AM GMT

Yes, that would be better. However, as soon as ROBLOX blocks one way of spelling a curse word, another will be invented.

Why don't they just remove the ability to publish a script as a free model altogether? Oh, thats right, that would mean newbies to scripting would actually have to DO something. :3

LCP, it's an anti cursing script. How is the game supposed to know what's cursing if it doesn't know what it is? You'd have to type in the swear words so the script knows what words to block. _~Less qq, moar pew pew~_
