What I want to know is if gold is so strong and valuable, why are these companies selling it to people when they get paper money in exchange?

>why are these companies selling it to people when they get paper money in exchange? They are ready and willing to force a bubble to form. IF they do promote buying gold, demand will rise, a bubble will form, it will burst and the price of gold hits rock bottom. they then can buy more gold and repeat the process. You see the economy does not have to be healthy for them to make money, infact billions are made from economic collapse. Which is why companies can not be trusted to stabilize the economy.

"In the last half of the 19th century people of the working class in Europe were beginning to show interest in the ideas of socialism and syndicalism. Some members of the intelligentsia, particularly the Catholic intelligentsia, decided to formulate an alternative to socialism which would emphasize social justice without the radical solution of the abolition of private property. The result was called Corporatism. The name had nothing to do with the notion of a business corporation except that both words are derived from the Latin word for body, corpus. The basic idea of corporatism is that the society and economy of a country should be organized into major interest groups (sometimes called corporations) and representatives of those interest groups settle any problems through negotiation and joint agreement. In contrast to a market economy which operates through competition a corporate economic works through collective bargaining. The American president Lyndon Johnson had a favorite phrase that reflected the spirit of corporatism. He would gather the parties to some dispute and say, "Let us reason together." Under corporatism the labor force and management in an industry belong to an industrial organization. The representatives of labor and management settle wage issues through collective negotiation." Corporatism

I've been calling it since 2009. You only need to look at past gold prices to tell that, yes, this is going to be another bubble. >Corporatism is the blending of government and special interest groups into one. That's an odd definition of corporatism.

I am not talking about plutocracy, but I am sure to you anarcho-hippies believe all governments are attempts BY THE MAN to hold YOU DOWN!

Except that's what governments do: restrict freedom based on arbitrary definitions of right and wrong.
