I was assigned to the Pro, which is saying that they ARE violent. I have a plan by saying that there has never been a time when religions where peaceful. Infact, in human history no one was peaceful.

I don't get debates that often. My last one was on smoking. Easy to attack as all I had to do to rebutt the "Freedoms" argument was state that second hand smoke infringes on people's freedom. Then for the "good for economy" argument I say that Smoke related Health care costs more then the cig market in Canada. Remember In Canada health care is paid for by the government.

We have had debates about the ratification of the Constitution, where I was given the issue of federal taxation and war, and a debate about Jameson's thesis, which I assume none of you know about. And last year we reenacted Jackson's trial in debate form, and a debate about Palestine and Israel.

I have had debates on the morality of certain actions done by cops, Morality of the Indian wars, We had a class structured debate on slavery (I got to be a radical republican). I have had constant debates in English this year because everyone thinks I am being mean or my point of view is cruel because of my straight forwardness and the fact I am a conservative.
