Yeah, Roblox's society can be retarded sometimes. The sad thing is, that age range was probably accurate in '08. Now Roblox is full of annoying 7/8 year olds, noobs, spammers, scammers, minimods, the like.

I love how Roblox is the only game that discriminates based upon join date.

Yet, Roblox is HAPPY with 7 year olds joining. Heck, they WANT it! I would go into games a lot more if people were 10-15. I actually mean that, because Roblox is depressing right now.

I would play games more often if some of them had effort put into them. The ones on the front page took ten minutes max to build and had no effort at all put into them.

"But it's so true. I think it'd be better to discriminate with age. Although, with any other game, you don't have maturity problems, because the game is made BY THE DEVELOPERS, not the IMMATURE USERS. " Or perhaps the 'game' is the studio. That's what appeals to me -- I can assure you, if it wasn't for the ability to make one's own games, I'd be out of here so fast. I think I opened up studio within three days of playing this game, and started learning Lua within two weeks.

Exact, there should be an division, immature.roblox.com, mature.roblox.com. Mature.roblox.com should ask you to answer math questions, that google can't answer, neiter an 7 year old can. immature.roblox.com would ask nothing

Im ok with usage of free models if they fit the game and are actually needed. Not something like "Destroy dis free model building wit dis free model plane. I decided the color of de free model baseplate k?" Also free models can be used at the start to get the hang of how things work, but after that its very easy to learn to build and maybe even edit scripts. But instead, many people just still get free models, fill their game with them, and dont even bother to recolor the models. There should be more free models that offer a platform for users to make something theirselves, like a seat that he can put on a plane model he built to make it flyable, or a weapon wich automatically scales the parts in it smaller and attaches it to your hand and so on.

Im not aware of math problems that google or answers cant answer unless its something way beyond the grasp of a teenager. Maybe Calculus or advanced physics.

I agree. If it's a free model, then the creator most likely WANTS someone to use it. In fact, they'd probably be happy to hear that someone whose game got to the front page included their model. Seriously though, Briguy is totally right. When newbs join, the BEST they can do is drag and drop models in his/her place. That's not laziness. Laziness is when you know how to script and build models but use the easy way out of something and call it yours.

"Plus, places are never 100 from scratch. Even experienced users reuse scripts from older places or just take a specific one they need from free models. I rarely see this ratted out." If you reuse a script you made from scratch doesn't that still count as from scratch? - HIDE the EGG. Dube.

The one rule to make a successful game in ROBLOX: Make a game where people fight, and make it feel satisfying when you kill something.

" Plus, places are never 100 from scratch. Even experienced users reuse scripts from older places or just take a specific one they need from free models. " Does taking a script that was rewritten a week ago, and another script that gets half rewritten on taking, and then heavily editing both, count as using scripts from older places? >_>

but sometimes people use free models because there lazy or overuse them and don't build anything themselves and try to learn

"I think I opened up studio within three days of playing this game, and started learning Lua within two weeks." Bah. Two days? I probably looked at Lua the day I joined (or before if I spent time as a guest. I can't remember). But then I knew Lua was there.

Sorry for the double-post, but I didn't read the whole thing. "*Stares at ArceauInator*" What did I do? I'm infamous for hating on people that ask for scripts. I believe it's perfectly reasonable to hate on people for trying to use free models as a way to get famous. It's unethical and boring. It's okay to use free models as a way to learn how to make unique things, but the problem appears when they try to make a patchwork place, refuse to give necessary credit, and then try to make it famous.
