They instantly say Canada is the top team, and then Russia, Sweden, and USA fight for the 2nd place. They completely rule out Finland, who Canada plays against, when Finland clearly has one of the best rosters in this tournament.
And then they say "The Swedes actually BEAT Canada so you know they're good", with a huge emphasis on the word "BEAT", even though the game was an exhibition. |
|
|
But canada had there best goalie out there and the Sweds won. |

No. Canada CUT their best goalie (Tyler Bunz) before the tournament started, and Wedgewood SUCKS. A LOT.
And it's Exhibition. |

Your pretty Bias, buddy. We will see what happens. But Canada is probably the 3rd best team after Sweden, and U.S.A. But we will find out today. Who is the winner of this little flame war. Finland sucks from what I've seen. |

How do you not know that by now?

I live in Edmonton.
I was born in Finland, and I have a Finnish family, so why should I? |

"I live in Edmonton." |

So just because I live in Canada means I have to want Canada to win? I don't think so.
That's like saying that I have to follow hockey just because I live in Canada.
I follow hockey because I grew up watching it... And I watched it since 1996, when I lived in Finland. |
|
|
that's not the point
you live in canada
you do not live in finland
cheer for canada
you're like the people who say "i was born in philly, but raised in chicago. go eagles!!!"
oh wait
>deadmonton
>bandwagonning
of course |

I was born in Finland.
I live with a Finnish family.
Thus, I cheer for Finland.
So according to your logic, if you were born in Canada, got to live there for 6 years, but then moved, with your Canadian to some other country that plays hockey (let's say Slovenia), you would be forced to cheer for Slovenia.
Oh wait, you're from Calgary, where there is no such thing as logic. |
|
|
i would cheer for slovenia because i'm being raised there
i would not cheer for canada because i have spent a fraction of my life there
i refuse to wave the flags of two countries because i've lived in both
and calgary is a way better city then deadmonton, you're just jelly that you don't what we have |
|
|
I lived in canada my hole life |
|

I'm 16.
I lived in Oulu, Finland for 6 years. I have lived in Edmonton for 10 years. I have dual citizenship (Finland and Canada). So does my entire family, all from Finland as well.
That still doesn't mean that I have to cheer for Canada. Because I choose to cheer for Finland.
Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms gives you a right to choose something like that. |
|
|
but we all know that when there's an event where finland is not involved, you're a canada fan |
|

Only if Canada is involved, but Finland isn't.
But if Finland is involved, is there something wrong with being pro-Finland? Even if it's against Canada... |
|
|
because, you're flying the flags of two countries |

Remember that one commercial on TV?
"Everyone knows it's wrong to treat new friends better than old friends." |
