Playoffs give teams like VCU a chance. Is VCU really a top 2 team? |
|
ddudeTop 50 PosterJoin Date: 2007-11-11 Post Count: 47837 |
It gives more teams a chance...
Just because one team loses on a bogus play or a dumb call, means they're pretty much out of the BCS title game.
Yeah, great idea. |

In your dreams.
Utah could of beat Florida in the 08 season for example. They wrecked Alabama that year in the Sugar Bowl.
Auburn was a top 2 team in 2004 also, and they were cheated out.
Only 1 computer is actually publicly shown it's rankings.
Also, the coaches poll is pointless, same with the Harris Poll. Harris Poll = Blind people.

Alabama and LSU are the top 2 teams in the nation. OSU lost to friggen Iowa State |
|
|
alabama already lost to LSU
they also had an easy schedule |
|
RomoismJoin Date: 2010-08-13 Post Count: 43090 |
Alabama only lost by 3 pts to LSU, OSU lost by 7 to Iowa State |
|
|
Again, a playoff would gain more revenue, and actually show the top two teams.

But it brings in controversy. And controversy brings viewership which means higher ratings for CFB games. |
|
|
no it won't
people want to see their teams play
if they don't see them in the bowl they want them to be in, they won't watch the game
playoffs make things exciting because you want to know who you would be playing the next week |

@Tato
Gimme the list of all the teams that'd be in contention for the playoffs in the beginning of the season. |

"But it brings in controversy. And controversy brings viewership which means higher ratings for CFB games."
It doesn't you idiot. Bowl games have been worse than almost all actual games.
