Oh, hello there! I am back with another idea, this time about music. I've been here long enough (to the extent that some people say I practically live here) to have seen a lot of ideas, and what I usually do is take them and think of new benefits to add to it, which "usually" makes it better.
Now, before you continue beyond this point, let me notify you it's a looong read (and there's no TL;DR section! *gasp*). If advise you train your reading skills as you read this article so you can understand what I'm trying to convey to you. If you plan to just skim the thread, please don't reply. It saves me time. I reply to all questions posted on the thread (I may stop around the year 2016, and if this happens to be 2016, greetings from 2011-2012), and if you honestly don't want to post your question in public, you can always PM me.
Note that this has a lot to do with .MIDI files and music staff, so if you don't know about them, this is going to look like a pile of trash. :)
Ah, well, without further distractions, let's get right to the center of this idea: music. Let's face it, one factor that makes a game beautiful is the way emotions flow into you from the music that's released from your speaker/headphone. It MAKES you feel a certain way, the way the creator of the game felt whenever THEY made the game themselves. It's a way to share what YOU think with other people. Now, at one point in time, ROBLOX did allow you to upload forms of music files, though this was removed after people uploaded songs that contained profanity (mostly cursing and suggestive themes) or infringed on copyrights. After this, the general populace of ROBLOX wanted this feature back, and clearly it hasn't been returned. Many ideas popped around like, "Being able to upload only .MIDI files!", considering the fact they couldn't contain any lyrics at all, though I want to dig a little deeper than that. I want a music creator program. It would be inside ROBLOX, much like the stamper tool, though it will be on the website rather than actual "in-game".
The music creator program (let's just call it RBX-MCP for "short") will be able to handle most, if not all, the instruments .MIDI files handle, ranging from Acoustic Grand (Piano)(1), to Muted Trumpet (60), and even Melodic Tom (118) just to name a few. In total, it will be able to handle 128 instruments, each one represented by a different colour. Now, since we don't have 128 different colours supported by ROBLOX (or the colour wheel when you think about it), we can have different hues of each one. For example, instrument (1) would be red, and instrument (2) would also be red, but slightly lighter. This would stretch through out the colour spectrum (red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, violet, purple, pink, and to red again) to have a variety. These colours would be the colours of the notes placed on the staff. Like on all sheet music, you can place different types of notes (supporting from whole notes all the way to thirty-second notes) and you can adjust the time signature to work with the music your writing. Now, since many kids may not be able to make time signatures work everytime, I suggest that there should be an option for "no time signature", considering the fact the computer can read it much better than a human... make that "can read it perfectly".
To place notes, you basically select a type of note (or rest) (whole notes to thirty-second notes) and click on the staff where you want it (if it's a rest, you can click anywhere since they don't need a position). You can place in between, at which case it will ask you if you want it to be a sharp or flat, which makes an accidental. For advanced musicians, they can adjust the key signature as well. Now, on default, the staff will have a treble clef, though can be turned to a bass clef for people who play in that... er... clef. Now, even though some instruments (make that MANY instruments) can't play two or more notes at the same time, for the sake of chords, we're going to allow it anyways (basically like on a piano). Now, you can use more than one instrument (that's why I explained the colour code system). When you select an instrument, all the notes of other instruments will be "translucent" (basically transparency at 75%) so they're out of the way, but can still be seen in case you need it.
Now, for the true musician, dynamic and articulation marks are available. Articulation marks come in the forms of staccatos, accents, tenutos, marcatos, and fermatas. Dynamics range from pianissimo to fortissimo, and have other things such as... actually, only one other thing: sforzando. Crescendos and decrescendos can also be used with the dynamics.
Now, with all these tools, you will "probably" be able to make some niffy music pieces. It's mostly just down to your creativity... or your Google searching skills... anyways! Once you're done, you can save the music to ROBLOX (which you can name it, put a description, and even publish it for free use if you feel like it (much like a model)). Though, lets say that during the long time you made your incredible music, you had a power outage and you REALLY don't want to redo your music piece, so... you're given the chance to save it as a file (some form of ROBLOX file) so you can "load" it on the site next time. :) No down-sides, to be honest.
So, yea, that was some good writing on my part, now it's time for you to do some good supporting. If you don't support for whatever reason, please reply WITH the reason and some evidence. If you don't, I'll reply to you in an annoyed manner, along with reporting your reply for technical spam.
So, hmm... what's left? Ah, yes! Thank you for reading this "small" article on a music creator program (named RBX-MCP), and REALLY do hope you support and vote here:

Thanks once again! :D
