Why is Edit Mode supposedly better than Build Mode?

Because Edit mode doesn't use Stamper... And you can script in Edit mode... And you aren't limited to slow walking in Edit mode. and you can generate larger amounts of terrian in Edit mode. And you can make your own spawns and teams in Edit mode. And you can test Edit mode without starting a server in Edit mode.
Must I continue? |

Sure, I would like you to continue, actually.
You dont have to use stamper in Build Mode.
You can script in Build Mode.
You can just search up a fly giver or something in free models. Slow walking problem solved.
Ive made spawns and teams in edit mode.
Hmm....you got me on the terrain. But I dont use terrain generator anyway. :P

You can't open up studio in build mode anymore, eh?
Edit mode has command bar. Edit mode is paused by default. Edit mode has the insert bar. Edit mode has Explorer. Edit mode has Properties.
Point is, Edit mode has the potential of evenything that building mode has, and more. And since the build mode update, even more so. |

I can edit terrain with build mode.
I can move easily.
I can use the command bar, pause it if I want, though it is normally not needed. I can use the insert bar, I can use the Explorer, Output, Properties, etc...
Point is, Build mode is everything Edit mode is, but with an easier to use camera.
Teleport, walkspeed changers, flying, etc... All work well.
I can use my own tools. They work better than edit tools. |

You can still open studio in build mode... from my point of view, the only difference is the terrain generating and you cant manuever with your robloxian. Oh, and its harder to adjust view. But I guess thats just my opinion -.-

If you do not think you can open Studio is build mode, you are mistaken. |

@8SunTzu8 Thats exactly my point.

I find it easier to adjust view. I have worked with real 3D design programs, and their cameras work a lot better than ROBLOX's. Edit mode is a joke.
I can generate the terrain, or I can build it myself with my character, which is faster. Build mode has everything edit mode has, with an easier to adjust camera, in my opinion. |

Edit mode - paused game and ability to fly. Have to click pause to make game work. Have to do test-play solo to test scripts, which works with players.
Build mode - running game, walking. Can test scripts right in there.
Build mode is better for me. If anyone dont know yet, to get studio in build mode, launch roblox studio and after click build. |

You can't properly edit GUI frames in Build mode. You'll just have to die/reset your character to see how it looks :l
While in Edit mode, you just simply place the GUI frames in the GUI starter. There, you can see it and edit it properly :D |

But you cant test their functions there. |

Edit mode > Build mode
Those that say "Oh we can use tools in Build mode!"
Lrn2Plugin
Edit mode has full functionality and scripts that run when the server starts can be tested easily enough in Edit mode, you get no choice in Build mode, they will run on you. Good look with decently sized structures in Build mode. Plus in edit you can just save the place that is generated when you use Test>Play solo |

Well, we have our own opinions :l |

Look at the names. Build Mode and Edit Mode.
One is made for building and the other is for editing.
Case Closed. |

I'd say that edit mode and build mmode are both useful in thier own ways.
Oh and for the noobs who can't use the terrain generator in build mode open it in edit mode and goto tools-test-play solo. In build mode you can use edit cframe tools that are much easier than using the command bar. But in edit mode you can't build tycoons and no there are no working tycoon that can be made in build mode. So both are good. |

It's all personal preference with how you want to build really. Building while walking around, or build while you can fly around with the camera.
Build and edit mode can do the exact same things if you know how. If you get down to the basic core of both of them they are the same. With the exception of plugins there really isn't much difference.
personally I prefer Edit mode, I like the speed from the camera, but it does lack certain things like a constant sense of scale.

if you dont mind i dont know how to get on edit mode how do you? |

@WhoBloxedWho The Edit Mode camera doesnt fly around! It is just as slow as regular walkspeed! But I agree that there isnt any difference besides plugins and being subject to a slow camera.

The edit mode camera is a lot faster than walkspeed, can tell you dont use edit often |
|
|
I used to use Edit Mode before Build Mode, but I didnt know how much better build mode was at the time....so I stopped using Edit Mode. If the camera is faster, maybe it is like, 18 speed.
