I'm pretty sure many people here would love to put some music in their places, without it being too laggy. But due to the moderation that would be necessary, copyright issues, heavy files, and possible curse words on music, this idea is generally a no-no.
What I propose is, let users upload MIDI music only. They use nearly no space (50~ KB for a full song), can't contain inappropriate content (i.e. no vocals or curse words), most systems can play them nowadays, they're easily available and composing your own music in MIDI is relatively easy.
...And IIRC, nobody has ever gotten in trouble for using a MIDI file of a copyrighted song - it's not considered a fixed form of music storage (it just stores notes - it's basically sheet music that can be played back).
TL;DR: Allow users to upload MIDI music and put them in places. |

Some songs aren't really kid appropriate... well if you mean music then that wouldn't be a problem but I'm generalizing it as song first because... well yeah |

@BubbNutt: MIDI can't have lyrics, and that's exactly why I chose that format. Look up some MIDI files on Google or something, to see what I mean. |

They probably wouldn't bother making a full composer. Just composing them in a 3rd party program and then uploading as MIDI would be good enough. |

The copyright issues completely slipped my mind. Just because the music can't be inappropriate, doesn't mean it can't go against copyright issues.
Making your own songs in ROBLOX, would show that they were made for ROBLOX, and by you. So, no copyright issues can get in the way.
It would have to be a composer. Nothing else works.

There's always the copyright laws. You can't just go letting people upload copyrighted music. ROBLOX could get sued by so many people if they did this.
