Where I post an epic idea that will benefit Roblox. This week on ANOTHER. EPIC. IDEA, we discuss editing Safe Chat menus.
So currently, safe chatters can only use the pre-made Roblox safe-chat menu. This used to work, back when game variety was much smaller, but now, with an ever expanding selection, it's hard to find a menu chat relating to the game you're playing. Say, for example, you go into a driving game. A guest is trying to figure out how to operate the simple VehicleSeat car. Typically, he'd go into the "How?" related questions and select one, if he could find one related to his predicament. However, how on Gods green earth are the other players supposed to help him? I don't see any entries saying "Hit w" or "Press Space." So when players can't answer the question, the Guest ends up feeling neglected, or stuck, depending on what he is confused about.
How to fix this?
No one knows the game better than the one who made it. Why not give the creator control over what the Safe-Chatters can, or cannot say. The creator of the game can assess the game, find any points where the safe-chatter may need help, and create Q&As accordingly.
Now, you may be thinking, "Safechat is there for a safety reason. What if the creator creates inappropriate chats?"
Here's a simple method. A new filter will be created that will catch any and every rude word imaginable, from something like "stupid" to something I can get perma-banned for saying. If something is caught by the filter, it goes to the moderators to be checked over. Any chat containing numbers or symbols automatically be sent to the mods to check for filter bypasses. Any leet will be sent to mods to check for bypasses. If a mod finds you are trying to create inappropriate chats, your ability to change chats is suspended, any chats already changed will be reverted to original, and a ban may be inflicted depending on the severity.
You may be thinking this is a little extreme, but Safe-Chat is called "SAFE" for a reason.
There are several benefits to this. Safechatters can find info they need about games, the menu may be better organized, and ultimately, we may see more users joining because Guests can figure out how to play easier.

How do you come up with these things?
These ideas are good.
But, maybe there should be a list that the creator can't put. So, if the creator puts a bad word, instead of more moderators, there would be a system that catches it.
Other then that, this is a wonderful idea.

I was safechat, but what drove me to find out how to disable it was the fact that I couldn't regen vehicles at voicechat regen places :( |

Most of the people who will use this thing will try to bypass the filter and will say things such as "You are GrAY"
This will lead to the admins having to check ALL the edits, and that may be too much of a burden.
I still support it. |

This guy sounds arogant, but on the idea, it's possible.
There is a problem though, knowing ROBLOX, they want nothing that will increase moderation time, so taking that part out would be suggested. My theory here is that you could put anything into your place w/o it going through a filter/being moderated. The same could work for this suggestion.
