[NOTICE: Because I only have ever owned, of the top three, an XBOX360, I will only demonstrate the controls of that console. Plus, I'm not sure teh PS3 or Wii has chat paddy chat pad of chat paddiness.]
So, we all want it! :D. And, I've figured out how it could work.
Well, first things off, cutting 99% of all the problem off:
IT WILL ONLY BE MADE FOR ACTUAL GAMEPLAY, NOT ROBLOX STUDIO, NOT THE FOURMS, NOT THE CATALOG, JUST GAMES.
And now cutting 99% of the remaining problem:
YOU NEED A CHAT PAD BEFORE IT LETS YOU USE THE APP. SO YOU CAN CHAT.
And now cutting 99% of the remaining problem after that:
SAFE CHATTERS CAN STILL USE IT. LOOK AND SEE.
There. Now to buisness.
So to use this legandary app, you first need to log in. This is why you need a chat pad! If you don't know what a chatpad is, it has a keyboard in the middle of the controler, so you can type.
The it directs you to a big page with a lot of pages. In fact, it's exactly like the games page, just different. Hold the left trigger to select filters, press A to confirm. Use the left and right bumpers to switch between pages. Press Y and use the chatpad to search a term and wholla.
So, for an actual place... the controls are.
Left stick: move around. Works like the arrow keys.
Directional pad: move around. Works like WASD. (There's a difference.)
Right stick: Change the camera.
Left stick (Click:) start chatting.
Left stick (In chat mode, click:) Put chat on chat list.
Right stick (Click:) Change how far the camera is from you. From first person, 25% out, 50% out, 75% out and fully out.
Right stick (Click, hold:) Activate/ deactivate mouse lock switch.
A button: jump.
B button: Opens/closes up the player list.
X button: works like tab.
Y button: works like `
Left/Right triggers: work like , and . respectively. (Yes, they do something. >:3.)
Left/Right bumpers: scroll between item lists one to nine. Press the bumper agian to get the item back in again.
And that's that!
Oh.
Back button (3 seconds:) Quick reset.
Start button: Opens up the start menu.

Okay, Slight change:
Left trigger: Works like ,
Right trigger: use whatever tool you have equiped.
Letter on chat pad (Not in chat mode:) depends on the scripting of the tool.
If you've ever played ultimate power, you'll know what I mean. |

Problem is, it costs way too much in ROBLOX's budget to even make physical copies of the game BUNDLED with a keyboard for the controller.
It's easy for, let's say, Activision to make the game Skylanders (the newest Spyro game) with the accessory that requires you to collect characters for use with the game. They also own two big franchises: Call of Duty and Guitar Hero.
ROBLOX only has ROBLOX. And they are nowhere near as rich as other game developers.
Oh, but you might give Indie games like Minecraft and Super Meat Boy.
They're digital downloads on XBLA that are MEANT to be played with a controller AS WELL as a keyboard.
Also, ROBLOX graphics are too sucky to even reach mainstream audience. |

The chat pad is already made. It was made by microsoft.
Also, it's an APP. it's PIXELS. It's not a disc.
Also, roblox graphics are good enough. Sure, they may be using decade old sparkles, but bear in mind graphics aren't massively important, anymore.
Also, if roblox only has roblox, explain the mac, maybe? |

Hmmm... That would work very well. I love this idea! Usually people just suggest it without an explanation, however you provided a thorough explanation. I support your idea. For the PS3, the same things would apply really, but with different names such as 'X' instead of 'A'.

You forgot how to get Lua on those systems...
For wii, you can plug in a keyboard and it will work. |

for XBox 360 and PS3 there are controller adapters that you plug into the controller (obviously) which are keyboards.
now for my reply to the original post
"now to cut out 99% of the problem" that problem being ROBLOX, that means we can use 1% of ROBLOX
"now to cut out 99% of the other problem" 1%-99%=0.01% therefore, we can only use 0.01% of ROBLOX. great idea, great explanation, but simply not enough usage
