..::Debate::.. Inefficient Moderation ..::Statistics::.. almost 10 active moderators on duty. 6,000,000+ users. Steam has deployed about 50 volunteer moderators (which are regular users), within 5 minutes one delivered a permanent band. Nothing bad has happened. ..::Conclusion::.. This isn't efficient moderation, surely trolls or spammers get banned, but that's not working. ROBLOXians should get a chance to voluntarily moderate for 1 month (per user) and get rewarded for some amount of R$ or TiX. These are site moderators with no influence to ban anyone they wish. It's a perfectly functioning system.

Mhhmm. And moderators, for example, that are from a clan at war with another cannot moderate the other clan's wall. Still... Support. Bump. Etc.

Thanks Guys. If Volunteer Moderators are abusive their punishment would be a ban and users may be unbanned.

They'd have to make sure the user wouldn't abuse the powers.

No, you can't hire volunteer moderators. Most kids on here are under 13. They can't be payed robux, because then they would be under some agrement, which breaks child labor laws.

Support but... Lets say one of them abuse's their power. They should get either banned for a certain amount of time or their account deleted [depending on what they did and how bad it was][and if they abused their powers any "rewards" they would of got are not given/awarded to them.

@bigbadke12 the admins must first view the problem then judge then moderate if appropriate therefore its like reporting just with more power i think

"..::Statistics::.. almost 10 active moderators on duty." "6,000,000+ users." Interesting statistics... Where did you find them? ----------------------- " ROBLOXians should get a chance to voluntarily moderate for 1 month (per user) and get rewarded for some amount of R$ or TiX." 1) Volunteer: A person who ~freely~ offers to take part in an enterprise or undertake a task. In other words, you won't get paid. I'm sick of people trying to come up with stupid ploys to get more tickets. 2) You CAN become a forum moderator. If they actually add them or not I do not know. "These are site moderators with no influence to ban anyone they wish." That part was unclear. are you saying that "volunteer" moderators moderate the entire site now? "It's a perfectly functioning system." No, it isn't. Not in the least.

Statistics: Moderators at the top of my head that still play: ROBLOX (Somewhat), Builderman, Telamon, ReeseMcBlox, MSE6, MasterChiefAlpha, DoctorBucket, Anaminus (was volunteer). Therefore, Almost ten. and there are only 3 moderators. It was 6, 000, 000 before my Join in 09. -- Nobody would go for it if there wasn't a Reward. Your getting paid virtual currency which isn't worth anything IRL, hence it's voluntary. ROBLOX administration doesn't answer messages, because they're spammed with them. And besides you have to have a heavy influence on the community. Moderators have more freedom, volunteers do not. If a moderator does not like the behavior of a person or persons, he will administer a ban with ease, volunteer mods will not have the same amount freedom. The key word is "functioning". It functions perfectly, meaning it will boost efficiency. Without functioning the statement would obviously be false completely.

"Nobody would go for it if there wasn't a Reward. Your getting paid virtual currency which isn't worth anything IRL, hence it's voluntary." 1) I don't care if people won't go for it unless there paid. being a moderator is a privilege on it's own. 2) It doesn't matter if it's virtual currency, it's still currency. any form of compensation real or unreal is STILL compensation. hence making it not voluntary but rather a job. 3) Letting random people become moderators is the dream of a fool. You might as well just give the first 4 year old you see banning abilities. --------------------------- "ROBLOX administration doesn't answer messages, because they're spammed with them." 1) Not my problem. 2) this sentence was completely redundant. --------------------------- "besides you have to have a heavy influence on the community." Obviously. Letting any random person who asks to become a moderator become one is asking for problems. --------------------------- "Moderators have more freedom, volunteers do not." "If a moderator does not like the behavior of a person or persons, he will administer a ban with ease, volunteer mods will not have the same amount freedom." 1) Then there is no point in adding them. anyone can create an alt and "volunteer" to become a mod. and use this power to spam roblox with messages. (I'm assuming mod reports take priority over regular players...) or give there main account the money earned from it. or even get someone he doesn't like banned. (Because let's face it, roblox is HORRIBLE at determining bans). We don't need more mods. we just need better admins. So stop making excuses for them. ---------------------------- The key word is "functioning". It functions perfectly, meaning it will boost efficiency. Without functioning the statement would obviously be false completely." As I said, it's not functioning. it'd make roblox LESS efficient.

Wow, you're going to be annoying: on to my win: "1) I don't care if people won't go for it unless there paid. being a moderator is a privilege on it's own. 2) It doesn't matter if it's virtual currency, it's still currency. any form of compensation real or unreal is STILL compensation. hence making it not voluntary but rather a job. 3) Letting random people become moderators is the dream of a fool. You might as well just give the first 4 year old you see banning abilities." -- So you just want to look smart.;.. This is going well so far... It's a useless compensation; moderators are PAID CASH. EVERYDAY USERS are given something WORTHLESS IN A KIDS GAME. They're protecting kids voluntarily. ---- 1) Not my problem. 2) this sentence was completely redundant. -- Looking smart again? So far it's JUST GOING GREAT for you!! Redundancy: characterized by verbosity or unnecessary repetition in expressing ideas. According to Sir Webster: not the slightest bit. ---- Obviously. Letting any random person who asks to become a moderator become one is asking for problems. -- LMAO You're clueless. ---- 1) Then there is no point in adding them. anyone can create an alt and "volunteer" to become a mod. and use this power to spam roblox with messages. (I'm assuming mod reports take priority over regular players...) or give there main account the money earned from it. or even get someone he doesn't like banned. (Because let's face it, roblox is HORRIBLE at determining bans). We don't need more mods. we just need better admins. So stop making excuses for them. -- Wow, Creating an alt has such a HEAVY influence on the community (maybe +1 user but that's besides the point). ---- As I said, it's not functioning. it'd make roblox LESS efficient. -- You're just a blatant idiot who wants attention: Surplus of Qualified users > Give them some moderating power > Use it wisely > Bans the surplus of abusive users > Site safety guaranteed. People realized this, people supported you do not because you're more concerned with being right.

"Problems is the admins have to EXTEND their payment, so unless everyone on Roblox buys BC, they can't do anything about it." He said voluntarily, (Without pay) although you would get payed in Robux/tickets. Either way +1 support.
