This thread might be pretty long, I don't really know. But I am trying to make a serious point. So if your going to post a tl;dr I do appreciate it.
So, I was watching RSF raid X-101st earlier and saw RSF declare an auto win. Then realised the same happened pretty much with UP against JC. Then I considered it, this is very often how a ROBLOX war is won nowadays. Your going to probably mention my join date, please don't, it's just a date.
ROBLOX wars used to be fought in unfair battle grounds with unfair advantages for whoever did not own the base, I could name many bases like this. I believe the most popular was the X-101st recruitment center, you could attempt to break in. Get some carbines and take over. Even though the base was unfair it was one of the most fun to raid. As I am sure many of you will agree.
Likewise, there used to be no such a thing as auto wins. I don't see any logic behind them really. You can't win based on somebody choosing to remove you from there game. It's unfair, sure. But at your base you can do the same back. It's perfectly fair if both of you use it against each other, and I see no reason not to. It's a bit like sport, teams more often win at home grounds.
Ways in for raiders, I don't get this? Why would you want to purposely provide a point of entry for your enemy? I mean, every HQ has it's flaws. But when you can just waltz straight up and over a fence it seems pointless.
How can you truly dominate a group if you only control one of there bases. I don't see reason behind it. In a real war as long as they have use of there other bases they can surely still attack.
I've also seen people complaining about the weapons. If the owner of the base has unfair weapons, who cares. It's there choice. If you were really that bothered about it, you would surely give them your own weapons, as there the ones your trained with, so you can use them.
That's pretty much the main flaws over. I'm sure I could think of more. But how could we combat these? I'd like to, with the help of many other group leaders, set up a system that the C&G council can monitor. This means, official rules that war groups can choose to follow. I say choose as not everybody will agree, and may want there own ones. But it would make wars function a lot better than they do currently.
Here are some of my ideas we could involve into ROBLOX war at the moment.
Currently, you win a raid by taking over the base of the target group. I don't think this shows any skill as they've given you a path straight in to take for the win. Instead, it should be measured on skill, such as amounted KOs by each team. When a raid stars each KO is logged for the next 10-20 minutes. The team with the most KOs is declared winner of the raid.
Land percentage owners, this is an idea I've seen attempted a little bit before. It's closely based off the original warzone idea. You scedule a time with the enemy at a certain warzone. It works a little bit like a tug of war. You push the enemy as far back into there end of the warzone as possible until there team are sqaushed up to say > 15% of the map.
I have some more ideas, but rather than me carrying on, why not state some flaws that could be fixed or suggestions that we could possibly try to get done.
This is just an idea though, so I am not really concerned if you agree with any of the above or not. I only care on your opinion of the current state of wars.
