Hello ROBLOXians, Say you have a game right?
And some jerk comes along and Breaks some rules or Hacks it [Dun dun dun...]
Well of course you might add a Banscript right? Well what god would that do?
They could always make an Alt and come back, So I suggest an IP ban so that those anoyying Hackers, Trollers, Can't just make an alt and come back in, and those alts on his IP would be banned, Although the problem is that this could be really hard to make most likly.

Dynamic IP's would get around this no problem.
That's the only issue. Other than that, it sounds nice. :)

Actualy thare are a Ton of hackers, but you rarly see them, SkelletonTroller, Electronix, They use speedhacks in game, they can deleat a base and put a script in it so the server can't be shutdown if everyone leaves. |

Do speedhacks steal your credit card information? Do deleting bases steal your credit card information? I have never seen a single person that got it's credit information stolen while knowing that the hacker was a guy in the server he was in
and he stole his credit card information using "speedhacks".

They are very rare, and they never ever hack while being in a game. They use devices made for hacking and they leave the computer alone waiting until
somebody is hacked.

This would ban people who exploit the games, but not people who hack accounts and steal credit card information.
Hacker is a guy who gets into a account to gain worthy information for his own use of getting money or for someone else's use to get paid.
Exploiter is a guy who effs up games to gain unfair advantage over others by giving himself buffs to harrass people mostly for fun.
Hacker =/= Expliter
Hacker =/= What you think.

No the ban script helps to keep them away but your too lazy to use one .No support roblox has better things to work on then a ip ban. |

@payload, a hacker is someone who hacks into information.
It can be hacking in a creditcard, hacking in a email, etc.
Roblox uses the term "Hacking into a account.
So your statement failed. |

Possibility to IP ban people? Pffff. Failure, because they have things called PROXY'S. They can use them to get around the IP ban. |

That won't work. They can just use another computer. Or change their IP.
A Mac Address Ban may not be too effective against hackers either.
They can just use a program to change their Mac Address. Or swap out the network card.
Or use a modded cable modem to make those changes.
I know how to build computers and get them working. That's how I know that won't work against hackers.
And don't forget about the players that have to share a computer. And/Or a network.
An IP/Mac ban may make it where no one in the house can get on Roblox. (If the main router/modem is banned.)
And what if it is a public place that gets the ban?
Sorry! There is just too many ways that this cannot work.

You can already IP ban people from your games if you do the appropriate scripting. Just associate the new children in the NetworkServer service to the new children in the Players service, then you'll be able to recognize a user by his or her IP address and well...yeah. |
