Hi guys,
I thought it would be nice to have a thread on-which we can talk-on and share small ideas and updates that you want people to know about, but aren't particularly worth creating a whole thread for, amongst other things.
So, to start us off:
I'm wanting to put my c-framing skills to test, but I don't know what to make. If anyone has any ideas, or would like me to help them, just ask. =)
How is everybody doing?
What projects are you all working on?
Note to moderators: If this is too 'off-topic' or just not wanted, I'm sorry.

This thread is a great idea!
Anyways I have this thread saved that I think might challenge your Cframing skills, hopefully you'll enjoy it
http://www.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=61064788
Anyways I'm still recovering from April 1st mishap, but otherwise not too shabby.
The project I'm currently working on is weapon types and quests for my RPG, which is going pretty well for a change.
Anyways I'll ask this to the thread, anyone making anything steampunk? I'd love to check it out. |
I'm making an Steampunk RPG, Red Phase.
So far, it doesn't look much like an RPG, nor does it look very steampunk, but you can still check out what I have so far. |
Typo. By Red Phase, I mean Steam Era.
Making two places at the same time is awkward... |

Oh yea, I've been to that place before. It was neat. |

Bump. Question: What was the most complex thing you've made with the stamper tool and wiring? |
Thanks, Ninja. :D
Good luck for you RPG, by the way.
As for the thread: that would be very challenging. The places that have been made already are great though.
Atomic, it's looking good so far; keep it up. :)
I haven't made anything all that complicated, to be honest. I've had a play about with them, but that's about it. What about you?
Most complex thing? A spaceship docking bay with flamethrowers on the wall triggered by an invisible trigger set at the entrance.
Best thing you've built in Studio? |

Hmm... It's be a tie between a spaceship with directional thrusters and a large sword fighting structure with chase-breakers and traps for Vaiobot.
As for in-studio, I'm particularly proud of my Iron Obstacle Course, although my RPG is well built as well.
Anyone else? |
Ninja, could you show me around your Iron Obstacle Course at some point? It looks purty, but I don't know what to do. =3
The best thing I've built in studio would probably be this:

What is everyone's favourite type of place? For me it would probably be places that have great C-framing. Steampunk's good too. |

Heh, sure. I'll help you past the first floor ;)
And judging by the thumbnail, looks pretty good!
As for favourite place (I think you mean genre?), would be Steampunk all the way. I just love the look of the old world clockwork and machinery.
Anyone else? |

I'm stuck on the first floor of your iron obby ninja. >.< |

What do you guys like to see when playing games?
What do you guys hate to see when playing games?
What do you guys think about games that are worked on as a collaboration project? |

Right now im Working on my game, recontrusting the Lobby for 'Paradox' for now im working on the updates platform, where you can visit (Once done) the next upcoming update on the game. |

R3gebiscuit, it's looking really nice so far. :D |

Good building, maybe some simple scripting. No scripting if it's a role-play game though.

Terrain... It's just so glitchy and lags because it's constantly changing in those "Build-a-bunker" games.

Depends on the genre. Like, a war collab I won't like, because it could be two military noobs working with no prior knowledge. A role-play collab or scary collab, sure, as long as they know what they're doing. |
Thanks for your thoughts, Mikey.
Why don't you like to see scripting in a role-play game? |
Sure, maybe a few secret passages using canCollide, but usually scripting just screws it up. It's better to just have players come up with their own storyline and effects. It's just easier because you don't need to survey and poll every last person who plays your game. |
Awesome, thanks for elaborating.
Are you working on anything at the moment? |
Thanks for the comment lol :P though there isn't much. The next update is most likely to be weapon design :) |
Awesome, I'm looking forward to it. |
Working on a brick-construction plant. Just a model. Doesn't actually function, XD. |
Let us know how you get on. =3 |
