I have always thought that games should just forget real life physics to a certain degree and just be completely nonsensical in some ways just for the heck of it. For instance:
-Flying to one of the wall as you enter a room rather than staying anchored to the floor
-Being able to modify in-game objects to a certain extent in order to complete a puzzle
-Obstacle courses or battle arenas where, say, you might be inside a box that is constantly rotating or the gravity of the box is randomly switching.
>I know this one is especially difficult for Roblox, since (at least to my knowledge) there isn't really a way to alter gravity in Roblox, however think this could probably be simulated by building the map inside a box or series of boxes and using engines or a script to rotate the map at changing speeds at random points in the game.
>This also creates a challenge for a level-designer who has to design his/her buildings and objects to be functional and a rotating environment where one second the fighting is on the ground but at another second, the player is on the roof, or a wall.
That's really all I've got at this point. I think I might make something like this over the summer when I have more time to learn how to script to make some of this happen. What do you guys think? |
