Roblox Studio freezes for 2 seconds, every 5-10 seconds

Back in 2008-2009, I never had this problem, however, in late 2010 it started. When I use ROBLOX Studio, roblox seems to freeze for about 2 seconds, every 5-10 seconds. It is very odd however, because normal roblox never has this freezing problem. It used to be manageable, because with normal roblox, you could still access the "studio" part, from opening up the explorer. This option is no longer available, and now I cannot create games anymore, because of this freezing. Does anyone have any input for this problem?

Roblox is heading downhill. And pretty fast. Tho I'll wait at the end laughing at them when they do. HAHAHAHA.

Orange, have you done anything on your ROBLOX Studios settings? If anything was modified or not, I suggest checking then list all the options you have there so I can see if you're ok or not.

I did change them. Almost all of them. However, I did reset them to what they are normally when you download roblox. With both configurations, roblox freezes :/

only choice is to check task manager and see the usage ROBLOX studios uses - then make that your primary running thing, while the rest should be minor so you won't be interupted by lag

I used to have this problem, I had it for a couple updates, but eventually it went away. Never knew what caused it.

Roblox only uesabout 200,000 k of memory. Idling, my computer runs at 0-5 %. With roblox, at about 15-20 %. I don't believe it's a performace problem.

It seems to only freeze randomly when I: - Insert items from the catalog. - Copy Items. - Delete Items. - Move Items. - Save a place. - Load a place. - Join a game/server. It may unfreeze after about 10 to 30 seconds. Or Roblox will crash. Half of the time is stays frozen and I have to use task manager to stop/close it. I have been having this problem after the Terrain was first added. I like the Terrain. I just hate how its super hard to play or even build. Its hard to do build anything. I have to keep starting over because it keeps locking up. When will Roblox fix this major bug? After everyone quits when Roblox becomes unplayable? O_o The Freezing/Locking up of Roblox is more annoying than Annoying Orange with Fred's voice.

I used to have this problem too, I figured out why it was doing that for my PC. YOu need to check your internet connection to see if you are in a proxy server or whatever. Sometimes it could be the ROBLOX ads. Heres a suggestion on how to remove the lag when you're in Studio. When you open Studio Mode, and your place loads; try closing the start page (your profile or the web) and just keep [Place#] running. Hopefully that will work. -Dummiez
