Trust me, I've been in this country for most of my life.
My parents were born here, and all of us know how bad the education is compared to other countries.

Yes, our Grade/Grammar school system isnt all that good, that is why we need more Chris Christies in all 50 states and get rid of "No Child Left Behind" law which is terrible.
Last year in 9th grade, I took Algebra I, my father took the same things I learned when he was a senior, when that stuff was either in Algebra II or Calculus. |

In a nutshell, Christie shuts down schools that do not do their job of educating students and then those students are put in much better schools. That or fire teachers that dont do their job. |

My family includes a few educators, so sometimes I like to think that I know something about the logistics of educating children, haha. A few points I'd like some more detail on:
If an entire district is low performing, and it isn't feasible to bus all the kids somewhere else, how does he bring that area up to par?
How does he handle overcrowding, if the kids are being moved to new schools?
What sort of money does a teacher earn, and how does he encourage new teaching talent to work in NJ?
Is there a merit pay system? How is experience factored into pay? |
