The Frostarian four - four virtues the clan will live by as our updates roll out.
What is the Frostarian four?
Discipline, Honor, Strength and Knowledge (AKA Lore, depending on the context)
How will this tie into our oncoming updates? Simple:
-It will be how our directorship works from now on
-It will be the four main lessons taught in the rehab training program
-It will be part of the new promotion system (The "Strength" System)
-It will tie into our rules
Explanations for the meaning of the four:
Discipline: Follows the rules, acts maturely, shows self reliance and the ability to act when nobody is around to help them. Keeps the clan in order.
Honor: Works well with others, helps with the clan, is good with diplomacy, shows the ability to be reliable and trustworthy. Thinks of ideas.
Strength: Can plan, can fight, can listen and follow through with orders even if they have little time to think in the craziness of the battlefield. Defends us to the death.
Knowledge (Lore): Knows about Frostarian culture, participates in RP, shows excellent skills in writing and creativity. Enriches our experience.
How will these factor in with the promotion system?
We are working on the new system but the general thing we've agreed on is a strength based system that puts you into a rank that suits you.
Our database will gain graphs. You will earn "prestige" in the Frostarian four.
For example, we'd have a graph of you that shows that you are very strong and powerful but not very knowledgeable in our lore.
This allows us to improve each member individually and help them grow in areas they are lacking in so we can all improve.
Rank climbing will be earned through gaining prestige in areas with some ranks being centered around a certain area of the four. For example, a "Scholar" rank would be the same rank as "Marksman" but they would be in different areas. There would be about two ranks you needed to climb in your area before you'd reach a "Milestone" rank in which we'd have you grow in other areas. Once this is passed you'll be able to climb ranks that involve all four areas.
It sounds complicated in summary but it won't be when we draw it out more. Basically, the new system gives you a rank that suits you. It helps you grow and that's what we want.
This system is much the same for rehab. You will grow in areas until you reach a basic level and understand what we expect out of you. While you might not be fully prepared to take on most tasks involving a rank of your nature that is what you will be readied for as you climb ranks.
This will allow for a clean, fair promotion system that allows for everyone to benefit from their strengths while still being expected to improve in other areas they may lack in.
Will it work? Who knows. This is something new and crazy but that's what RAT is about: Innovation. We take the risks but it's hardly worth calling this a risk. We are confident in this system.
More will be revealed as we work on it. For now, be excited - there's a ton to look forward to.
(CLEARUP: Nobody will lose their rank. Their rank will just be relocated to one of the ranks that suits their position. It will not be a demotion, they will still have what they earned. Don't worry)

I already got a position for st0rm but it is not Strength. Strength trainers aren't always super amazing fighters - there is more to it than that. |

All this honor you feel like you lost in RAT will be regained easy. Heck, when this all comes out I could force you through the entire system if it'll make you feel better.
You only skipped ranks because I knew you'd make it far and it'd be a waste of time dragging you through them when we could use you now, man.
