If you look at the blog, they're working on a Linux port. The difficulty in porting was that their graphics engine on Windows used Direct3D, which, being a Microsoft technology, is never going to be available on any other operating system than Windows. However, they now have another graphics engine written using OpenGL to actually get stuff on the screen, meaning it's going to be compatible with Mac OS X and Linux because they both support OpenGL.
