It is early 1945 only few Japanese strongholds int he Pacific remain. While other marine Divisions launch invasions on Okinawa farther south a small volcanic island towered over by Mt. Suribachi looms over the small island. On the island are 3 airfields blocking allied bomber attacks on the mainland of Japan. The US plan to invade Iwo Jima and call this Operation Detachment. Your story starts here.

"Listen up Marines! You are going here to Iwo Jima our planes and Naval bombardment should of softened 'em up quite a bit! But keep your eyes peeled and stay sharp. Our objective is Mount Suribachi In order to take this mountain we have to climb it by foot! The next objectives are the airfields. We need to take them that way we can get close fighter support for the infantry and tanks. Now get ready Marines and remember Hooah!"
(There are going to be 3 divisions the 3rd, the 4th, and the 5th marines. Remember marines don't have medics so they are navy guys just fill out medic in your thing and what unit you are attached to because the medics are from the navy))

The American pigs are fools! They bombard the island constantly but we are underground waiting for them to come into our point of view and mow them down. Kurybashi is a genius this plan shall work and the bodies of the Americans shall litter the island! Remember take down 10 Americans before you go down!
(The Japanese Defense was focused on taking down as many Americans as they could because they knew they wouldn't win. Oh and only Japanese characters know about the underground positions.)

The US eventually win in 37 days. i shall tell when a day passes or nighttime begins and when nighttime ends. If I am not online and an admin is and it has been day time long enough they may go to night time. If it has been night time long enough then they can start a new day or change to day time. Why new day or change to day time are separated: I may of already started a new day or a new day starts at 12:00 AM dawn is at 6:00 AM.

The doors dropped and instantly men started to drop at my feet, I never had seen so many innards at once, but I pushed through and made it to the beach. I instantly sprinted to a piece of scrap metal and ducked behind it with 3 other soldiers. |
