free Video editor and 3D animation studio needed

Hello I like using Paint.net as a photo editor, but I want to take it a step up and start experimenting with videos with 3D animations. But there are SO MANY programs so I was wondering what is the best free video editing program and best free 3D animation studio is. Thanks

@Seth Is that supposed to be an insult? First take your finger off that shift button, or better yet keep your fingers off your computer. I never said I wanted to master VISUAL EFFECTS SOFTWARE I said I wanted to experiment.

I use Windows Movie Maker since it's guaranteed to get the job done. try Blender for your 3D

You do not have the skill required to use even Windows Movie Maker and yet you expect to utilize software packages such as Blender? I am fluent in Blender, 3DS Max, and Maya; and one can not simply open one of said programs and make amazing content in but a few moments.

@SethiXzon I don't know where your getting this: "I am gonna create amazing things as soon as I pick up these amazing programs" persona from. I'm not expecting to create great things I just want to start. So if Blender is not good for people just starting out what is? That is the point of this thread. Also a little side note: I don't know if I have the skills to use windows movie maker, I probably don't I'm trying to start off. Please I don't want to play the hate game, I am just treating as you are treating me, I have no hate for you, I'm just feeding off your energy ok?

@kassert Yes, I have bookmarked the blender wiki. No offense but please I can handle myself I came here asking for programs and only 1/3 of the people gave me that. I wish for the programs none of this criticizing, I hope this did not offend you.

Windows Movie Maker isn't a 3D Video editor. I will suggest that learning blender is the best way to go for animations I think. ~Don't Be Afraid to See What YOU See - Ronald Reagan~
