Have you ever had trouble trying to fit a hat along with another hat so that they fit nicely without going through each other? Well, this could be a solution.
My idea is to be able to rescale your hair/hat slightly so that they don't run into each other. It would be in the My Roblox Character menu. It would probably have a bar that will slide up (for a bigger hat) or down (for a smaller hat) when the user clicks and drags it. I think this could help so much when choosing different styles, as it will allow the hats to fit better. There will, of course, be limits to that bar sliding up and down. And you would probably have the option to reset your hair so that it goes back to its original size.

I give support. I've bought a 15 robux hat and only had 20 robux. So i said "Okay i'll buy it. it'll go good with my shaggy" So when i bought it and put it on with my shaggy, it looked retarded. So yeah i give support .
Now if you disagree, read the following.
For the OD'er problem
First of all, you cannot tell an OD'er by their looks. Most of you said in my previous post that I OD, which I don't, even though you don't know me. People seem to think that this will only increase the OD'er problem. Well, if its such a big problem, then why does roblox keep releasing new bodys, hair and faces? Also, my idea was only ment to help other hats fit onto your hair. How would that increase the OD'ing? I was only trying to fix the problem of trying to wear a hat with your hair, but then the hair goes through it and ruins the look. All this would do is help create more options when customizing your robloxians hair/hats.
Hair Getting to Big or Really Small
Another popular disagreement on my previous forum post. The bar would have limits. Why wouldn't it have? this is just to make hats be able to fit better, therefore you wouldn't have to resize that much.
BC only
Why judge this on BC only? You have no idea if this would be BC only. I would appreciate it if you only judged the idea, and NOT if you judged it on something that hasn't happened yet.
Please leave a comment. If you disagree--
please state a reason why you disagree OR I WILL COUNT IT AS A SUPPORT
If you agree, thank you for your support. Thank you for taking the time to read my forum post. |

I've heard this suggestion frequently; asking to adjust the offset of a specific mesh.
I don't know if the mods would allow this without it affecting the gameplay too much, but they could update, or continue development on, hats that will fit snug with the hair.
I'm not sure how to approach this topic with a profound conclusion, since it is beyond my concern about how hats are worn, but I wanted to ask; what is its purpose? |
|
|
Come on, give me your opinion! I know people are viewing this. |
|

The purpose was to be able to wear more hats in different ways. I know the new "try before you buy" is coming out, but, this will allow ALOT more styles. |

I read about halfway, and here's what I thought:
There should be a maximum and minimum # that you can set it to.
So that we don't end up with hats the size of the entire game map. >.>

You should have at least read the part about if you disagree read the following. I specifically said twice that that bar would have limits. |
|

Bunch a noobs walking around with gigantic hats. Yeah that's not distracting. It should cost money each time you re-size it. |
|

Quit trolling. READ before you comment. This is not a valid reason. |

@Char; I never said I disagreed.
I simply stated something I think should be in place with it.
Anyways, I'd never use this, so, I'm rather neutral.

I'm sure people may just scale their hats as big as it allows just for fun. Also, a lot of hats would no longer fit the head right. It would be too much work. |
|
|
So let them. The limit wouldn't allow them to make it sooo big that its distracting. |

I like this idea but how would this work if something like the sk9r boi with the hair that comes along with it would it just resize the entire hat with the hair or just that hat? |

The hair that comes with it is part of the mesh, so it would resize all of it. |

The major problem I see is...
There is this small top hat. Forgot the name of it.
It looks like the green banded top hat, but it is much cheaper.
People would resize it to make it look like the full sized version.
I am staying neutral on this matter. |

It's a great idea, but it wouldn't work. Unless.... Possibilities.

I support. It's also the kind of feature that wouldn't make any sense for it to be BC only. No one is going to buy BC just to resize a hat to 1.05 of what it normally is. |
|
|
@Xzerizon - I think the OP only wants really small amounts of resizing. Making hats or hair twice as big won't make them look better with other hats or hair. Making hats or hair 1.05 times as big will make them look better with other hats or hair. It only takes a little tweak to make most hats look better with other hats. |

@Xzerizon: For cases like that, maybe ROBLOX could block resizing on certain hats. |
