Excuse me? Hypercam? Stay away from hypercam. Use FRAPS. Grants both recording and screenshots.

Starting off, use fraps and WMM. Once you get into it, get popular, and want to do more when it comes to editing, get Sony Vegas or Sony Movie Studios.
