You might be thinking, what on earth do I mean.
So, there has been a lot of stories about people who exploit games from people, and claim them as their own, or people who take uncopylocked games and claim them as their own.
To keep things fair, I will not name anyone, even though I have experience from those people.
-How does the idea work?
So, It goes pretty much like this:
If someone exploits a game you have made, the game notices it`s PlaceID has changed, and adds a non-removable watermark somewhere on the screen saying who originally made the game.
On user choice, The same idea could also be applied to Uncopylocked games. So, if you want to give your game out for free, but want people to give credit, this would somewhat solve the problem. |

I like it.
But how about something of a "Video" or something of it fading out?
Some games use LOADS of GUI's.
And because of that; 2 things could happen if it was permanently there.
1: Watermark gets in the way of gameplay
2: Watermark gets covered up by GUI's, thus blocking it from being seen.
So; proposition to that is a bit of an "Entrance Watermark" that shows for 3-4 seconds or so; taking up the whole screen; and covers up all over GUI's until that 3-4 seconds is gone; upon which, the watermark is completely removed from that players screen until their next entry.
Also; perhaps a way that it loads before any other GUI goes from StarterGui to PlayerGui, and after it disappears then you receive the in-game GUI's.

There is. Roblox would just need to keep the PlaceID somewhere in the map file.
This could also be optional, to avoid all the fuss. |

You realize that a place ID is only a link? It's nothing more. And saving the game to your computer and loading it into the game bypasses any form of being able to tell that the game belongs to someone else.
To make it understandable I'll put it like this..
It's like putting a lock on your door
A thief climbs through your window instead
Takes what they want
Climbs out the window
And the door was never disturbed. |
