You awaken, for the first time in what seems like years. The small pod around you is slightly cracked, and outside you can see an old, cobwebbed facility. There a few burnt corpses on the ground, their skin appearing to have chemical burns on it. Then you remember.
The frantic cries from people when the war was annouced, the deadly nuclear war, named the war of the dead. The constant droning of the planes overhead filled the months following, until the government cam to bring all healthy citizens to a new home, named the shelter.
At this shelter, there was a life you could live, forever underground, living off of stale, repumped air. With the same people for many years. Or you could live in a sleep-like state, in a small glass pod. Where you would be awoken in times of danger, or when the world was once more safe.
It seems that now, that critical state of the facility has been reached. It's time for you to leave the pod that had been your home for almost 100 years. Time to go to the outside world right to, to see the nuclear wasteland.
