You are a rather poor man, with nothing but a few copper coins and a rusty iron blade. Thrown out of another tavern for not paying your tab, you find yourself sorely in need of some coin, and you know just where to get it.
The magical item trade it a grand buisness, merchants have gained their fortunes off of it. And, within tombs, catacombs, and other nasty places, it's quite easy to find magical items of varying quality, ones that will fetch you a very pretty penny. Not only that, but there are rumours of an ancient tomb just north of here, where you can surely find some artifacts. |

as i step onto the paved road, i felt free. i kept walking for about two hours when i saw one of my old "friends" who sometimes walks around here. |

i continued walking forward, as the only clue that i had for the location of the relic was "north". |

I was being general, you know where the tomb is, they said, you overhead some bard talking about the landmarks on the way there. "Head north, and turn left at the hanging tree. Keep walking until you see three standing stones, and go to the center of them to find the tomb." |

You dig, and dig, when a large shadow covers you. Looking up, you see that the dungeon is actually up above. The big ladder in the middle of the plains should have tippe- Wait, ladder? That wasn't there before you started digging... |

Nope, it kills you. Good game.
You climb the ladder, until you eventually reach a large airship. Gnomes scramble from place to place upon the ship, paying you no mind. |

Well, it seems that you're here for the same reason these gnomes are, to find the treasure. Because they're now descending the ladder with shovels, swords, and muskets. |

i slide down the ladder with the gnomes, hoping that i'm not seen. i allow the gnomes to work on the digging, then a thought comes to me - what if the gnomes have some relics already on that ship? |

i go back inside and take a look around for the relics. i'm needy enough for the relics, but not to doom an entire civilisation! |

Civilization? Sorry, I may have given you some false ideas. This is just a big adventuring party, not an ark. You do find a jewelrybox, full of trinkets. They don't say "magical" on them, but you can never tell. |

i take the jewelery box and put it in my pocket. i then steal a shovel and go back down to continue digging for the relic. hopefully the gnomes woulda given up by now. |
