This game came out years ago, so I'm pretty late to the party... I got it very recently on PC, and so far, I only have 3 cars unlocked.
I like the classical music tracks. They're currently the only songs I have playing in game.
It runs surprisingly well on my underpowered PC.
The keyboard controls are a bit difficult to get used to.
...I can't think of anything else. What does everybody else think of this game? |

Used to play it on my X-Box 360.
Until my 360 over-heated :( |
I played it on PS3 a few years ago. I don't remember if there was a story line because all I did was go into "destruction mode" and crash a bunch of cars.
I also liked to do stunts and go off ramps and stuff.
Awesome game.

There's this one ramp in some sort of hilly area. It's very high up and it pretty much makes you go WHOOOOOOOOOOOSH SUPER JUMP!! Know what I'm talking about? You can also rack up 5+ barrel rolls in one jump in that spot. Best video game ramp ever. |

Bump. My last post now looks very stupid. |

Yeah, I remember playing that I think |

That game is pretty cool, and I enjoy it a bunch. I am actually looking forward to the new Need for Speed game, because it's being made by the same company, Criterion. If you look at the gameplay trailers, it's pretty much Burnout Paradise: Even Better Edition. |
It's also Burnout Paradise: Licensed Car Edition. I wonder if it'll have the same post-launch support as Burnout Paradise? From what I've read, Burnout Paradise had great support even a year after it was released. |
On the one hand, I do like licensed cars, but on the other, that means they won't be able to go Criterion level crazy on the damage models. |
I god damned love every burnout, but Paradise was by far my favorite. I am STILL playing it 4 years later and still trying to get even better road rules. |

"On the one hand, I do like licensed cars,"
Now we can find out who wins in a beat 'em up drive 'em up competition - Ford or Chevrolet?
"I am STILL playing it 4 years later and still trying to get even better road rules."
I actually didn't really focus on road rules yet, but I beat a few of them. I went from 6% to 18% completion recently. The Hunter Manhattan looks very nice in pink. :) |

Burnout BUMPadise
I got a vertical takedown just by slightly lifting off the ground and touching the side of another vehicle. Whaaaaaat? |
one more bump for good measure? |
stunt run is too easy
I love going into multiplayer and having a stunt derby in that airfield |

I've been playing Burnout games for years. Burnout Paradise was one of the only games where I've enjoyed completing it 100% (or in Burnout Paradise's case, 102%). |

i've been trying to reply to those last 2 posts, but i keep getting blocked, so...
Rossolini LM Track Package is a very fun car despite the fact that I unlocked better vehicles already. It's just so... Classic. |
I only ever use the Carson GT nighthawk anymore. Probably best car in the whole game. |
The Nighthawk? Isn't that one of the DLC cars? The PC version of Burnout Paradise doesn't seem to have the Burnout store working any more. That's a shame.
For some reason I did a Rossolini LM Track Package stunt run. Speed boost cars have a rough time with stunt run in general, it seems. |

the quarry?
anyway i have big surf island and all of the downloadable car packs for it
i am a criterion elite
i have all the cars but the carbon überschall 8 and the diamond p12
i believe my favorite car is the kitano togue sport |
Kitano and Carson generally have the best cars in burnout games |
Kitano? The Touge Sport is the first thing to come to mind. It's quite the drifter, but it's not really all that special. As for Carson, there's the GT Concept, which is all sorts of awesome, but the Carson family also has the GT 500. What's with the handling on that thing? It's like driving a banana peel! Maybe it's something you gotta get used to.
I also didn't know you could pull off a double barrel roll on Big Surf Beach. Until today. The Hunter Manhattan may not handle very well, but it's pink, it's stylish, and it's a barrel roll of fun. Yeaaaah!
also bump |
Hunter Manhattan is VERY useful for pulling off barrel rolls and crazy drifts. |
It's quite useful for those tasks indeed. It's quite the roller. I still use the Jasen P12 Track Package for stunt runs, though. It's not quite as good of a roller, but it feels more stable.
Has anyone here played Burnout Paradise on PC? It seems that the people who've posted in this thread played it on the PS3 or Xbox 360. |
