When ever I click play steam says I can only have one instance of this game can be run at a time even though I have no TF2 icon on my little hot bar thing on my computer.

then install again

do ctrl+shift+esc to open taskmanager, and see if you have the process "hl2.exe" running. Close that process and try playing. |

No hl2.exe isn't running nor is TF2 but it says I can't play,

Possibly delete your config files in the steam folders (?). It resets all the cookies and stuff. |

Tried reinstalling steam WELL I CAN'T god damn it.

You don't have to reinstall steam. Go to your task manager (ctrl alt delete), close everything that is hl2.exe or steam.exe then open steam and try again. |

If you stopped being so dramatic we're all trying to help you but you're too technologically challenged to delete a program's folders and processes in task manager then reinstall it. |
