From what I am seeing, there are two sides to this FEAR conflict.
Both sides have flaws.
I know Liavkr for being a dedicated member of FEAR. He is one of the directors of FEAR who led the War Department for some time. Somehow, he went inactive for a little while. I remembered having a meeting about a week back on the HR reform. He was demoted due to inactiveness. I wanted him as colonel, and nothing lower than that since he has been a contribution to FEAR for quite a while. Later on, he gets demoted to Major and exiled from all the divisions. From then, Liavkr threatens FEAR to restore his rank and remove almost all the HRs close to Ace. I find that extreme, and also discouraging. I am shocked by how Liavkr would do such a thing. Though it is sort of understandable due to the anger he is experiencing.
Now, for the FEAR meeting that happened recently: I wasn't there. I wasn't there to say anything. Not there to witness Ace's decision. From what I saw, a lot of people are pointing at Ace for deciding to exile Liavkr. I find that surprising, especially since I wasn't there to handle the situation. I don't exactly know why Ace would go as far as to exile him completely nor do I know why SONIC would agree to such terms. I find the exile as being too harsh, even on Liavkr. It explains a lot on why Liavkr starts a rebellion. Though, personally, I find rebellions as a bad way to deal with the situation. Ace, I believe, did not exactly make a good choice in removing him. He did not consider the consequences that might follow. Liavkr, from what I am seeing, is causing all this commotion because of anger and hatred. I can see the reasons. Ace should have talked with me before making such a big decision. I never remembered Ace having THAT much authority.

Now, for a compromise.
I believe that the only way to fix this problem is to figure out a solution that deals with both sides of the argument.
I see three problems: Ace's authority, Liavkr's demands with rebellion, and SONIC's decision.
Aceslayer is not exactly supposed to have THAT much authority to remove a former general from his rank and exile him from all divisions. In truth, I believe the only way to handle with this is to either create a better system of decision making or to demote Ace down to General. Sorry Ace, but I find that you have not made a good decision in your position. It is best to keep peace, not to provoke conflict. You did not inform me of this which frustrates me a lot. General would suit you because you can still handle with the FEAR members. I will establish a new system of reforming the HRs. Because this really got out of hand easily. Ace, you are not allowed to touch Liavkr's rank. I am going to handle with it. If you notice any problems being caused by Liavkr, report to me WITH evidence or proof and I will see how to deal with it.
Liavkr's demands are too extreme. Removing Ace and the rest of the HRs is not a reasonable idea. It is not your decision, Liavkr, to remove the HRs. The HRs were chosen by SONIC for good reasons. However, this brings in the issue of corruption. From what I see, there is an issue of authority. I have repeated this numerous times. Liavkr, Ace was not exactly supposed to have such powers. To solve your demands, I want Ace to be demoted down to General. Liavkr, because of your inactiveness until now, I am supporting to bring you up to Colonel and let you work for your rank back. From what I see, this rebellion was from anger, and I know that feeling. Though, rebellion was not a great choice on your part. As for your ranks in the divisions: you can have them restored for the time being. If you continue being inactive in them, I have no choice but to demote. The Commando Squadron can be restored. But the division must undergo reforms to get it more active and more significant in FEAR.
SONIC, I do not know why you would follow your HRs. It is important for you to consider the consequences before taking action. From what I saw, this did not create peace or unification of FEAR, all it did was spark a civil war. When demoting an HR, there has to be a good reason and it must also involve the opinions of the public. The LRs meet these HRs and their actions and are the best witnesses. I find it disappointing that you would AA the Commando Squadron. It was a good division that had an important role in FEAR. I would like you and maybe the HRs to help fix the division again and make it more active rather than leave it to waste or destroy it.
That is my compromise.

Summary:
Liavkr is to be restored to Colonel in FEAR and his ranks in divisions restored. But he must work for his general rank back and be active in the divisions or risk demotion for inactiveness. Commando Squadron is to be restored.
Ace is to be demoted to General for misuse of authority. A new system for HR reforms will be made. Ace is not allowed to affect Liavkr's rank any further. If he notices Liavkr causing any type of problems with FEAR, he must report to me with evidence of such. I will handle the situation from there.
SONIC is to consider his decisions more and foresee the consequences that might follow. Also, the LRs and the rest of FEAR must have a say in some of the decisions because they are the ones who witness these HRs and their actions more than anyone else. SONIC and the HRs are to also help fix the Commando Squadron and make it active to help FEAR in some way.

SONIC, you might disagree with me, but what I am doing is helping FEAR and its members. I am sick and tired of fights. The HRs probably are too. I am doing it for the good of FEAR. FEAR is in need of a new system that would keep the balance. I don't want FEAR to fall into civil war. It is our job to keep FEAR unified. Please don't let this happen.
I am done with this conflict. It has got to stop. Peace must be restored.

Also from the chatlog it seems that SONIC doesn't voice an opinion and is easily persuaded. But this is only a part so I wouldn't be able to tell without the whole thing.

From what I'm understanding not really. Also he seems nice and is a great HR. You guys(Ace) was being an instigator, forcing all these things to escalate to the forums.

All Ace does is misuse his power and start un-necessary conflicts.
Liav is actually more important than Ace because Liav trains the Asians and Europeans of FEAR which is important to a large group like FEAR.
Otherwise only the EST would get trained, which is not fair. He's a good addition and you guys were stupid to start this. |
