I know most of you dont know what I am talking about, but im trying to suggest an option to control your character with a joystick, steering wheel, etc. this wont cause lag or anything, just give more options and have more fun with driving games and flying games. (also, there can be a possible option to change controls of like what buttons count for. button 1 =y, button 2 = x, y axis = a/d or w/s (for the amount of speed))
bottom line
this wont cause any in game difference just enable the user to have more fun controling his character in games. |

Well...
At the moment I can't think of anything bad...

I think it's good but you know how RÕBLOX has rejected mic chat in the past right?
But not for any reason this might be a bad idea...
So I support.

I see absolutely no reason why a ROBLOX figure couldn't be controlled with a joystick.. Think of how fun it would be to fly one of those experimental jets? I can't remember who made them.. Anyway, you have my support!

If this comes out, I can control a car with a joystick and fire the guns with a trigger button :D |

All games have different ways of steering, moving around and shooting.
This won't work! |

Games in ROBLOX don't always use only WASD/D-pad.
Joystick and other similar controllers don't have enough buttons to support what a keyboard can. Most of the time you'll be playing games suited for PC but with controllers for consoles, etc.
Just imagine playing a keyboard-based PC first person shooter using a 360 controller. No go.
There's also games where clicking is required. Using a joystick to control a mouse cursor is not as fast as a mouse itself.
tl:dr, adding axis controls for controller support is situational. Most of the time it ruins things because you'll need more than just XY. Troublesome. |

People can map buttons to different keys, or the owner could make a 'controller
version' and a 'PC version'. Feedback appreciated. |

Joystick support for planes 'n stuff?
Sure, why not.
Although I'm fairly certain that in a competetive environment, you will be at a disadvantage when using a joystick rather than a mouse.
Why?
You are much more accurate with a mouse and have a bigger potential of turning faster. |
|

you can use joystick and a mouse at the same time >.<
you can program what buttons replace what keyboard controls.
this would just be an option to the user to make gameplay more fun and realistic to him/her |

Since Roblox is three-dimensional it'd be XYZ control, but I'm sure there are programs that would allow you to use a joystick on Roblox.
