Since keeping this one is out of the question according to the majority of the players, and going back to the old one is out of the question according to the staff, why not make a new one that hybrids the ideas between the Roblox staff and the core fundamentals of the leaderboard the players want?

That shows a leaderboard that keeps the Roblox 2.0 style CoreGUI that they want while keeping the fundamentals of the last leaderboard all the players keep asking for. It also has a new chat style which should keep the chat from becoming nearly impossible to read over really bright colors.
The development staff for Roblox is doing their job, but we still have our opinions. Why can't we have a middleman between the two? |

It's not about being accustomed to a particular leaderboard, it's about one that gets one that give the new style Roblox wants (unlike the last leaderboard) but also keeping functionality like the last leaderboard had.
I want ease of access if you will. I don't want to have to hover my mouse over the leaderboard to see the points. I don't want to have to wait 15 seconds for the entire leaderboard to load. I don't want to have to scroll through pages and get lost in the mess and clutter feel of the new leaderboard that is up right now.
However, this is a medium between both. We need to respect the style and path that Roblox devs want, but they also need to recognize and hear out our opinions, and that's where I put the line at. The original post here is a perfect compromise.
In fact, it'd be perfect as is if I remove the black vertical line and if they make it so hovering over players or teams slightly darkens that region of the leaderboard moreso than it currently is. That'd be perfect right there. The text too - it needs a bolder outline to sustain visibility through all collors and all lighting. |

I agree yosh. We need to be able to edit the leaderboards just like we can edit the chat. Until then (if ever), we need to make compromises. |

Support, I hate the scrolling bar, because for my computer/labtop the scrolling doesnt activate where its suposed to be but becaise on border between name and edge of scroll bar, which is very annoying. old system was better. |

Support. It's hard to even see who's in the server, which annoys me. It'd be nice if they at least make it bigger, or an option to disable it on your game. |

I agree, as a GUI designer, and scripter, i know that people like it to look good, AND easy to read and use, have lots of features, but nothing you wouldn't use because then it would get hard to use. Roblox has 2 really good things going with the old leaderboard, because it was easy to use and all the information was right there, easy to read and see, and with the new one, it looks good, solid, and fits roblox's new style. I think roblox should hold a competition for leaderboards, and have some of the better scripters made the new leaderboard design for them, then they can go in after and add core features we cannot use. This way, roblox can have a good looking, awesome leaderboard, and the community gets what they want. |
