Yes, I did two Chapters in the same day to make up for the wait. But, I'm actually adding a third Chapter for today later tonight. I don't want to rush it by doing them all in four hours. No time for creativity. |

Hey, Buddy. I'm writing a book. I don't care what your comments are about Vak. If you want to complain, do it to them, not me. Wanna write something, make it something about the book.
Thank you,
Drakond. |

[CHAPTER 8]
''Get up'' a voice growled above them. Drakond slowly opened his eyes, and saw a sight he would remember the rest of the day. A big, burly man was standing above him, in a black Shirt with gray heavy pants. But that's not what was so different about him. The mans face was covered in scars. Large, gashing scars that ran from his neck to his eyes. Drakond slowly got up before remembering Alanah. He nudged Alanah with his boot, and Alanah stirred in her sleep. He nudged her again, harder this time. Alanah opened her eyes, and they went wide when she saw who was looking at her. ''Sir!'' She yelled, and gave him a salute. Drakond gave the man a swift salute without speaking. The mans hands were balled up, and he looked about ready to explode. ''You two. You were sleeping together?'' The man asked, his knuckles getting white. Drakond looked down at Alanah before asking ''Sir. Permission to explain what happened, Sir''. The man seemed to get even more tense, before giving Drakond a swift nod. Drakond explained the events of last night, and ''You can look inside, Sir, if you don't believe me''. Drakond said. The Man looked inside, and saw blood everywhere on the floor. A white body was on the floor, slumping against the window, with a thick gash in his throat. Another body, a much larger one, had a neck that looked like it was crushed in. The man looked back at Drakond, then growled ''Stay here''. The man proceeded to ask each other people in the bunks what they saw. Each one gave as an accurate story on what they said. The man went over to stick, who nodded when he was asked if Drakond's story was true. The man then went over to Drakond and Alanah. Suddenly, he pulled his arm back, and tried to punch Alanah in the Jaw. Drakond Widened his eyes, and threw himself in the path of the punch. The punch hit him directly on the right side of his Jawline. Drakond fell onto the ground, and slowly rubbed his Jaw. It hurt like hell. The man then tried to punch Alanah again in the stomach. Drakond jumped in front of her, and took the punch in the ribs.
''Stop protecting her!'' The man Roared. Drakond looked him Directly in the eyes, and said ''No''. Everyone in the room gasped, or looked on with silent emotion. Even Alanah looked worried about Drakond's answer. The man looked back at Drakond, and said ''She'll has to learn to Defend herself sooner or later''. Drakond looked over the man quickly, then replied ''Good thing you're here to do your job then, Sir''. The man looked suprised, before grinning. ''So, you knew I was the DI, huh? How'd you figure it out?''. Drakond then pointed out several key factors that would show he's a DI. ''That bruise on your right forearm. Someone tried to break it, and failed. An angered student, perhaps? And your voice is hoarse, most likely from yelling at Cadets all day'' Drakond replied. With each of Drakond's observations, the mans smile grew longer. ''Well, look like I have myself a brain AND a fighter. About time'' He said. Drakond gave him a curt nod, and Alanah smiled. The DI grinned, then turned around to the rest of them. ''Listen up, runts! We got work to do! Enjoy your 5 minutes to get dressed and shower, and eat!''. Everyone jumped up and ran to do their chores, all of them running to the showers first. Drakond looked at them like they were idiots.
Drakond slowly shook his head. He walked up to the dining table, and ate first. Another Soldier joined him at the table, and Drakond looked at him. He was more animal than person. He was totally Black, covered in black fur. He had a long ponytail behind him. The center of his head was red, and the red streak ran all the way down the center of his ponytail. He had long black ears, that looked like they belonged on a dog. In each ear he had a row of piercings. ''Idiots. Showering is a luxury, not needed for training''. Drakond replied ''At least someone else has something in their head besides empty space''. The other kid smirked, then said ''Names Shade''.Drakond smirked back, and nodded. ''Drakond''. Shade nodded back, and went back to eating his meal. Once the two were done, they calmly walked back to the bunker, where everyone was in a rush to get dressed before eating. Drakond and Shade went to their respective bunks and got changed into the Fishnet, tank top uniform of the Cadets. They picked up the dog tags, and put them around their necks. Once they were done, both Shade and Drakond went to stand in line in front of the DI. The DI was chuckeling, and gave them a nod of Approval. ''Glad you two passed that little test''.
Drakond and Shade smirked. They waited in line, and just when everyone else just started eating, the DI yelled ''Times up! Get in line!''. Everyone protested again this. ''I didn't even eat anything yet!'' one cadet yelled out from the crowd. The DI just snickered, and said ''You had the time''. The same cadet said ''No we didn't!''. The DI stop snickering, and adopted a scowl on his face. ''Look at these two you idiots! They have food in their stomachs, and their uniform is on. Do you know why? Because they knew that with the amount of time they had, they had to get priorities first. Showering is a luxury, Cadets. One that must be earned! These two earned showers tonight''. The crowd groaned. All the cadets quickly stuffed as much food in their mouthes as possible, then ran over to join the line. Alanah ran up to Drakond and Shade, and stood to the side of Drakond. She nudged him and said ''I wish I thought like you, sometimes. That was dumb, heading directly to the showers''. 'Drakond replied ''You're a girl. It's..eh..natural instinct''. Alanah let out a small chuckle, before replying ''I'm not a Girl, Drak. You're not a boy. We're cadets now. Just cadets''. Drakond nodded, and listened to the DI.

[CHAPTER 9]
''Well, since you're all properly fed, and looking in such great shape...Sparring it is.'' The DI said, grinning from side to side. All the cadet's groaned at his comment, but grinned at the thought of being able to fight. ''Let's see...Oh, I got a couple of your favorites. Alanah versus Drakond''. Drakond's eyes widened, but Alanah looked determined. All the cadets were standing in a single line, shoulder to shoulder. They all mumured to each other, wanting to see Drakond's reaction more than Alanah. Drakond set his set his jaw, and stepped foward. Alanah stepped foward, in a strange fighting stance. The DI turned to Drakond, and gave him a grin. Drakond just ignored him, and continued looking at Alanah. The DI did the same, and Alanah just stared at Drakond. ''Alright, then. Begin!'' the DI said with a grin. The Cadets didn't make a peep. Drakond looked at Shade for a second, if anything just to see how his newfound friend would react. Shade slowly shook his head. Drakond got the message. Drakond moved out of his fighting stance, and stood straight up. He looked Alanah dead in the eye. She moved foward with a yell, and punched him across the Jaw. His head snapped sideways, but otherwise he didn't move. She then aimed a powerful kick to his torso. He stumbeled back at the contact, but otherwise didn't move.
He kept looking at Alanah in the eye. Alanah looked back at him for a second, and faltered. She then put down her fists, and looked sideways. The DI looked pissed, as if this would ruin his reputation for years. He went inbetween them, and told Alanah to move. Alanah stared at her instructor for a moment, before moving. The DI frowned at Drakond, before stepping foward and loudly announcing ''As you can see, he's too weak to even fight a girl''. Some of them laughed, but they recieved death glares from Alanah and quieted down. The DI then adopted a strong fighting stance and said ''DI Anderson versus Cadet Drakond''. Then Anderson charged foward.Drakond calculated his options very quickly. He could either attempt to dodge, block, or counter attack. He choose the latter. As Anderson moved foward with a powerful right hook, Drakond ducked slightly and raised is forearm underneath Andersons arm. Pushing Andersons arm aside to the left, he then was able to land a right hook on Andersons jaw. ''Damn''. Drakond said, looking at his hand. He swore that the punch hurt him more than the DI. After about 27 minutes of Sparring, the DI had the upper hand. While Drakond was faster, and landed more punches, the punches hurt him more than the DI, and he was not nearly the same physical shape as the DI.
The DI finally grabbed Drakond by the Arm, and then swung a right hook that knocked Drakond out of the small arena circle when it contacted. Alanah gasped, and rushed over to Drakond to see if he was ok. The DI frowned, then walked over to Alanah to teach her a lesson about not getting out of line. He aimed a strong lower kick at her when she was leaning over Drakond. Drakond saw this, and jumped from all fours in front of Alanah. The kick caught Drakond in the Stomach, and Drakond fell to the ground. Alanah went wide-eyed, and rushed to join the line again. Drakond was coughing up blood, but his eyes still held the same defiance when he stared back up at the DI. The DI growled before kicking Drakond again, and then Again. This brutal treatment lasted a minute before Shade cleared his throat, and said ''Sir. I doubt that's needed anymore''. The DI hesitated, and looked down at Drakond. Drakond was coughing up much more blood, and was severly bruised on his Midsection and ribs. He wasn't blacking out from the pain, yet. The DI then savagely threw one more kick that got Drakond in the face. Drakond blacked out to the picture of both Alanah yelling at the DI, raising her fists, and Shade slowly stepping up to back her. Right before he totally blacked out, he saw the DI start to walk to Alanah, arms raised.
Drakond woke up on the rocky Ground. His vision was blurry, and he honestly couldn't express the way he felt besides Crap. He looked down at his cadet uniform, and winced. He was covered in dried, reddish/brown blood. He slowly stood up, and groaned in pain. Pain arced across his spine, tingling all over his body. He winced, and slowly started shuffling to his Cadet level bunker. After shuffling on the barren rocky ground for 9 minutes, he arrived at his bunker. He weakly tapped on the door. After 3 minutes of waiting, leaning on the metal wall besides the door, the hatch squng open to reveal shade. Shade stared at Drakond before stepping up, and grabbing his hand. He shook Drakond's hand tight, without a word. Drakond managed a weak grin, before faling down. Shade looked down at Drakond's body, then shook his head with a smile on his face. He grabbed Drakond by the arms, and dragged him back into the bunker. The next morning, Drakond woke up to find his bed surrounded by Cadets. What was suprising, is that some were not from his level. Older, more heavyset Cadets. As if on cue, they all broke into applause. Drakond received high fives, very painful pats on the back, and congratulations. Drakond heard sniffling, and he slowly stood up from his bed to see Alanah, sitting on her bed and crying. He shuffled over there, and grabbed her chin, making her look up. She gasped, before jumping up and giving him a crushing hug. Drakond winced has he heard a crack, and all the other cadets were laughing. Then, Alanah stood on her toes, and pushed against Drakond in a furious kiss. Her lips pushed against his for a full minute. Drakond could hear the Cadet's whistling and whooping, and he chuckeled. He seperated from his lip lock with Alanah, and gave her a weak smile. She then frowned and lightly slapped his arm. '''By the Gods, what were you THINKING?'' she practically yelled at him. The cadets looked on in amusement. ''He could have killed you! DI's are allowed to do that here! You, Drakond, owe a thank you to Shade. He practically saved your life from that boot wearing, black tooth maniac, Anderson!''. Drakond stepped foward to Shade, who was apart from the crowd. Drakond grabbed his hand in a firm Handshake again, before saying ''I owe you one''. Shade replied with a smirk ''Yeah. You do''.

Sorry for the Grammar and spelling mistakes. This, ladies and Gentlemen, was the first Chapter I've done by phone. And this is also why you've learned I hate writing by phone. It's hard, the spelling mistakes are too much for a good writer, and takes too much time. So, I'll stick to Computer.
Thanks,
Drakond. |

[CHAPTER 10]
Shade didn't let his smirk down for a minute the entire time Drakond took to limp to his bunk. Once Drakond fell onto his bunk, he closed his eyes. Drakond drifted off into a Deep sleep. Shade stopped smiling and turned back to the top bunk, where Alanah was resting. He walked over to it, and received a ''Hello, Shade'' from Alanah. Shade climbed up the Metal Ladder, and hung from it. Alanah was laying down on her back, her elbows propped behind her head and she looked up at the ceiling. At best, she looked worried. Shade slid across the metal railing and jumped up, landing on her bunk. He sat down with his legs dangling over the side, and leaned on the rail. He sat in silence next to Alanah for a few moments, before he said ''Your boyfriends an idiot''. Alanah blushed at the mention of boyfriend, but then furrowed her eyebrows together in anger. ''What do you mean he's an idiot? Drakond is a sweetheart, he-!'' she was cut off by Shade putting his hand over her mouth, and looking at her as if she had publically decided to be stupid. ''You didn't let me finish''. She gave a small sigh, before sliding her hand over his and removing it from her face. ''Fine. Finish. But if I hear another insult, that railing over there is breaking off and going up your-!'' she was cut off again by Shade putting his hand over her mouth. ''Now. I was saying, your boyfriend's and idiot. But he's a brave idiot.'' Said shade. ''One could even say he's a Heroic idiot'' Shade added with a roll of his eyes. Alanah stared at him for a moment, before rolling her eyes as well. ''Gee, thanks. I'll be sure to tell him that when he wakes up''. Alanah said, with a smirk. Shadow just put down his hand and slid off the bed. He gave Alanah small nod before walking over to his bunk, and sitting down. Alanah just kept staring up on the ceiling, hoping Drakond was alright.
Drakond awoke with a start. He was still severely bruised, and one of his ribs felt loose. But he managed to pick himself up anyways. He stood up, and groaned as the rib popped. Alanah jumped off her bed with a start, and almost started smothering Drakond. ''Are you ok? You look terrible! Do you need any water? Here, have some water!'' Alanah said, and began fumbling with her belt in search of some water. Drakond chuckeled, and shook his head. ''Don't worry about it, Alanah. I'm perfectly fine''. Drakond than knew the error of his ways when Alanah turned her attention back to him, with an angry look on her face. ''What do you mean, perfectly fine?! You're covered in your own blood! You need a shower!''. Drakond started mumbling things under his breath as Alanah pushed him towards the showers. Once they arrived in the showers, she took the hem of his shirt, and pulled it off. She looked at it with disgust, then tossed it to the side. Alanah was about to remove the next Article of his clothing, when he saw her staring at her. ''What?' She asked him. Drakond looked down, then looked back at her. Alanah rolled her eyes, and put her hands on her hips. ''I had to shower with the men. You ain't got anything I haven't already seen, honey''. Drakonds face turned into a frown. Alanah sighed befoe mentioning ''No, they didn't see me. I warned them that they wouldn't be able to have children if they tried to stare at me. I was fine''. Drakond was still frowning, but then went back to staring. '''Ugh, fine! I'll turn around''. Drakond Undressed as Alanah turned around, but then turned around and smirked. ''You sure are making a big deal about not being able to take off my pants.'' He mentioned. Alanah blushed, then slapped her hand on her eyes with a groan, then exited the showers. Drakond chuckeled as he reached for the soap.
''We can use this to our Advantage, Sir! That boy sees something happening to one of his friends, and he turns into an animal. And he's dangerous enough alone. Did you see what he did to Private Sarina? He managed to break her wrist, slice off her forearm, then cut off her entire cybernetic arm. No other cadet in the history of his level has been able to land that many hits on a Drill Instructor in combat. . You know the records, and you also know the stakes at hand here. He could be the one, trust me.'' Anderson said to the other man. The man in question was cloaked in shadows. ''You've made mistakes in the past, Sergeant. Are you absolutely sure about this?'' The man asked Him. ''More than anything in my life, Colonel. Absolutely.'' Anderson replied. The man looked down at the Sergeant before stepping out of the Shadows and into the light. He wore a full Silver helmet, with a round top and surrounding circle. His face was covered by the faceplate, a mask which made grown men cower in their combat boots. His uniform was that of an Officer, but had two shoulders of Red camo, and on the side of his shoulder it said ''VCR''. He had a huge Iron sword strapped across his back. He stood taller than even Anderson, at a height of 6'6. The only other description besides Possibly scary, was fierce. This Particular Officer was not one that anyone would want to find himself in a dark alley with.
''Very well, Sergeant Anderson. You are hereby dismissed from your Duties. You are moving to the higher Cadets, and replacing their wounded Drill Sergeant. Your duties will be filled in by Sergeant Elk''. Andersons eyebrows shot up. ''Colonel...are you absolutely sure Elk should be the one filling in? I trust your judgement completely...but the man is an Animal.'' Anderson said. The Sergeant then realized he had questioned the judgement of a Colonel. He closed his eyes and waited for the huge sword to remove his head from his shoulders. The colonel looked down on him, and sighed. ''Lift your eyes, Sergeant. I'm a bit more understanding than the other Officers, as you may have heard. But do not, in any circumstances, think that shows weakness. And yes, I see the reason for your concern. But if we are to bring this...boy as the one we need, then we need our toughest man.'' The colonel replied. Sergeant Anderson then saluted the Colonel with his arm across his chest, and headed to exit the room. ''Colonel...one more thing. The boy is fearless. I would even say he would welcome death, unless an ally was in danger''. The Colonel Laughed, and shook his head. ''Do not worry, Sergeant.'' The Colonel replied. Anderson nodded, and exited the room. The Colonel lifted his head and chuckeled. ''He will have to learn to fear the name VorVelm Symaen''. |

Since I see nothing to the contrary, I have elected to envision the two officers standing in the shower room in full battle dress observing Drakond bathe and speaking of him as the Chosen One regardless of the fact that Drakond is present, and there is no one noticing anything wrong with this course of action. |

It's a transition of setting, Gyro. I'm suprised you haven't seen it before. And...chosen one? What? You have no clue at all what they were refering to, and THAT's the conclusion you jumped to? This isn't the matrix. Really.
New Chapter tomorrow,
