PLEASE ROBLOX! There are sooo many ads from other companies, but there are hardly any more user made ads..... It's unbelievable. Just let us see more of our ads and less of theirs. |
|

I agree, for NBC'ers, user ads are rare. |
|
|
look, in case you don't know, you gotta pay a website's owner to put your ads on his website, so, the more the ads, the more the money. |

@Sniper
Yes, but this is ridiculous. I see approximately one user ad every week. It's not only unfair to us, it's unfair to the creators of games that advertise their places. How do they expect to get their game to be popular if their ads aren't even seen by 2/3 of the community? |

Yeah, Sniper, you obviously have not been paying attention. There are probably 1 or 2 user ads seen on a weekly basis. I'd much rather see a user ad than an eyelash lengthener advertisement. |

"GET BC OR DAI" Mr. telamon says. |

@drgn
i use a ad-blocker so its impossible for me to see if the ammount of user made ads is decreasing. |

My above post was phrased horribly.
Because I'm a BCer, I don't see outside ads.
Yep, that's a feature.
And seeing that's a feature,
Teacher's theorem states that you probably aren't going to get a ratio increase.
Maybe if you had the option to change your ratio of user-offsite ads, but the more off-site ads you see the more [Insert gift here] you get. |

I see what you're trying to say frozen. The only reason I don't like seeing non-user ads is because they don't help me with ROBLOX, gathering ideas for games and such. I guess it is an important BC feature.... |

You guys are overexaggerating it with "once or twice a week". I see them roughly 3 times a day. (Once an hour or 2) You just have to look carefully for them :P

As for myself, all ads are quite rare. Adblock is actually a quite nice tool. I've currently blocked entire portions of ROBLOX's HTML code from being displayed on my computer, including all the designated ad spaces, the "Connect with Facebook!" button, and the front page of games (because we all know they're just as much an eye-sore as those damn MS Paint user-ads).
Pages load so fast now, and my eyes are free from tears of blood! Yay!

My problem is the actual ads they're throwing at us. Do they really think that a 10 year old looking for a war game is gonna see an ad for progressive and suddenly realize that his family's car insurance rates are outrageous, causing him to drag his parents to the computer and making sure they "try snapshot free for 30 days," to see how much money they can save? It's simply ridiculous. |

Thank god IGN Direct put that ad here on Roblox, or otherwise I'd be using inferior banks! |

I've only ever found a single ad that was ever relevant to me - and it lead me to DragonFable back in the sixth grade. Everything else was either entirely irrelevant, or for a product I already used.
"Hmm. Google's data tracking tells us you used to like Neopets in the fourth grade. Would you like to rejoin Neopets now that you're in the twelfth grade?"
And that is why I Adblock. Google can have my search history for when I make more Google searches - or whatever it is they want my search habits for. But I'm not going to have any of these damn ads.

For some reason I was getting dating adverts on ROBLOX...
I did not know the amount of user made ads changes when you get BC. I have never payed much attention to ads. |

Other companies/sites need the advertising. What if this is the resort they have? Maybe you cut off a little bit of foreign advertising, but not much. 21% support. |
