I've seen lots of game that go "Fight zombies and survive" or something and it ends up being a game about creepers.
This Report Irrelevance button can Content Delete the title if the title is not relevant to the actual game

no. People have a right to name their game how they please.
Games with misleading titles don't make them worse
If you don't like them, leave.

No need to be rude, but if there is a million visit game that always had a misleading title, there are probably a few thousand tickets he didn't deserve, similar to scamming, because there is no way to see whats in the game without going in.

Nobbers,
If the game has a million visits, then it's liked. They were "deserved".

Better idea. If the name is misleading, it is simply marked as "misleading". |

I support. There's this one guy (I won't say the juststeven name because that would be juststeven personal attacks) who changes his Place's title and thumbnail, to look like a completely new game, and it would be great to report him for false advertising.

I agree with RubiksCubix. Why not just mark it misleading if enough people click the button? |
|

It's nice that place makers understand their target audience and how they can easily be manipulated.
Simply updating the picture can make more people flock, even when there haven't actually been mechanics added to the game. |

This is just getting ridiculous.
Over-suggested and pointless.
There's no way a moderator can tell if it's misleading or not unless they enter the game, which will waste their time. |

@nobbers12345
Can't you just report the place then type in "misleading title" as the reason?

My suggestion would be to just comment on the place page stating the title's inaccuracy, and then avoid it. Isn't that much simpler? Unfortunately, the mods are way too busy to investigate every game that gets reported for an inaccurate title, so the odds of something like a "Report Irrelevance" button being implemented just aren't very high. |

Ah finally a reply from a moderator discussing the troubles of moderating and remove misleading title's/games.
Hopefully this'll cut down on future threads like this. |

Thanks, Alpha, and everyone else's ideas they gave.

Just don't play any games on the front page. |

No, Alpha. People who change their titles almost always disable the comments so people can't call them out on it, and they also disable their messages.
I think false advertising should officially be against the rules.

Creepy said it all. |

@CreepyGirl
And how exactly are moderators going to know if it's irrelevant or not?
With this, they have to investigate by entering the game which will waste time.
This is just a pointless, over-suggested idea.
I supported it at first, but then I actually snapped to my senses and realized it is stupid. First off, if they false-advertise, they're going to not make as much profit.
Second, if moderators don't actually check the game out, trolls will just report games for fun on their alts, and their excuse... "tHEY said dat the gaim was fun it's NOT!!!11"
And 9-year-olds will do this, too. They will assume "misleading" means that "Fun obstacle course!" HAS to be fun or else it's false-advertising.
MCA is 100% right in every-way about the moderators not having enough time.
End of discussion. |

>And how exactly are moderators going to know if it's irrelevant or not?
How exactly are they supposed to know anything? By entering the game. It doesn't matter if a bunch of people are false reporting for no good reason, if a mod enters a game and sees it is not irrelevant then they don't have to do anything at all.
>> With this, they have to investigate by entering the game which will waste time.
Takes less than 5 minutes depending on how laggy the game is. If the title is "obstacle course" and they're thrown into a zombie survival game then that's all it takes.
>>> "...if they false-advertise, they're going to not make as much profit."
Which is why a majority of front-page games are false advertised, right? They get MORE profit from changing the name of their game multiple times a day. People join the game thinking it's something else, it's not, and they leave. That's 1 tix. Owner changes the name of the game 12 minutes later, the same user joins expecting a different game, and it's not. That's another tix. Now take that 1 user and imagine it happening to thousands of users every single day.
>>>> "And 9-year-olds will do this, too. They will assume "misleading" means that "Fun obstacle course!" HAS to be fun or else it's false-advertising."
We're talking about "Climb the 1,000 stairs to become a secret agent!" actually being a "Build to survive creepers!" game, not "this wasn't fun and it said it was fun". |
