Chapter 1: Disaster Struck
As I exited the school bus, I waved to my best friend, Lilly. 'See you at the plaza in 2 hours, Lil!' I said to her excitedly. 'I'll be there. I wouldn't miss it for the world,' laughed Lilly. Walking across the patio to my house, I noticed the sky had turned red. It also came to my attention that even though it was December 21st - fairly deep into the winter - that it was a hot day. More strangely, there was a collection of ominous storm clouds passing by. I opened the door to my house and entered the hallway. As I walked into the living room, there was an unusual presence in the air. I was greeted by my mother, who then went into the kitchen. I could hear her talking on the phone. By the sounds of things, she was talking to Lilly's mother. "Well, I suppose so. But the thought of it does frighten me a bit," said my mom.
Until I turned the TV News Channel on, I didn't realize what my mother had been talking about. But then a horrifying sight met my eyes. NASA was showing images of several hundred meteors headed to earth. 'Satellite photos sent to us by multiple space programs has indicated by the end of today, the earth will be absolutely disaster struck', stated the news reporter on the TV. I then realized it was time to head to the plaza to meet Lilly and some of our other friends. I said a quick goodbye to my mother as I stepped out of the door. Within a few minutes, I was standing at the plaza. Standing there was Lilly, with cuts and marks all over her face. She was shivering with fear. I looked around. Meteors were everywhere. Our friends were no-where to be seen; Most likely crushed by the rogue asteroids.

Chapter 2: The Escape Plan
Both me and Lilly were absolutely speechless at the horror that stood before us.
"They were...vanquished,' cried Lilly, wiping a tear from her eye. "Forget about that for now. We need to get out of here," I cried. We ran to my house, in a desperate attempt to save my mother. She was no-where to be seen. What we could see, however, was a huge, burning meteor that had crashed through the roof. I was absolutely horrified. I felt my stomach churning with fear and sadness. For the first time in my life, I felt hatred. I remembered what I had been taught by my father before he left on his army operation many months back; In life, everything only has one answer. The hatred in me was because of that lesson I had been taught; Someone had to be responsible for the sudden cause of disaster. Although it was considered natural, I highly doubted that all of this would just happen like it did. "Lilly, look, you're house," I cried. She glanced over, only to see that flames rose up from it; It had been struck by one of them fiery death rocks in the side. "We need an escape plan," she said. "Well, Traifal Barracks is only round the corner," I said. "Lets head there. They will tell us what to do." And with those words, me and Lilly embarked on what was going to become a perilous quest to restore the life's of those who fell victim to the tragedy that had been bestowed upon us on this fateful day. |

Chapter 3: Equipped
I could see the towering shadows of trees as we approached the forest where the small military camp lay under the shade. We sprinted there, hoping to find someone. The whole place was deserted except for a man dressed in camouflage. "Survivors!" He shouted happily. "Excuse me," said Lilly. "We need to get out of here. Can you help us?" The man went into a cupboard and pulled out a small device. "This will take you to the future, where all technology was wiped out." Suddenly, it glowed. Me and Lilly found ourselves lying on the floor of a huge black palace. "What happened?" I muttered. "That device took us to the future...but what year is it?" They turned and saw a king sitting in his throne. "You!" He said, pointing to me. "Come fourth." I hurried over to the red carpet and knelled before this king. The first thing that struck me was that everything seemed medieval. "You must be the saviour! The prophecy states that a young boy, with his female companion that appeared from the air, will defeat the chaos lord, equipped with their weapons and skills." There was a short pause. "So, you want me to defeat this 'Chaos Lord' with Lilly?" I asked. "Yes. Any questions?" Lilly then spoke. "Where do we start?" "The collart volcano, north east of here", answered the king. "And please, tell us. What year is it?" I said. "2019," replied the king. "We have been watching you since you're birth. You are both 16 now, if I am not mistaken." The king then walked over to me and Lilly. He gave me some sort of tomahawk. Engraved on it was 'Zachariah Embers'. It was this point I realized my destiny was sealed. I would go on this quest with Lilly and we would save these people. The king then presented Lilly with a long dagger. Then, the king stood over me once more, opening a velvety case. Inside lay a crossbow, forged with the finest silver. Lilly and I thanked the king for these new weapons. I was sure they would help us. |

Chapter 4: Iconicer
We went outside. There were lush green fields as far as the eye could see. They stretched for miles. The king hurried outside. "One last thing," he replied. "I will use this orb on you both. You will both remember nothing of the real world; Your memories will tell you that you grew up in this realm." I suppose that is when this story really begins. The only reason I ended up remembering the real world is some iconic twist that comes in later. Don't worry though; This is the even iconicer (Is that even a word?) part. It was night when me and Lilly found a village. We booked a room at the inn, and went to sleep. However, around 11 'O Clock, in the middle of the night, I woke up and went outside. The ghastly late-night fog was everywhere; But now that all I remembered was growing up in this land, my mind told me it was normal. Like I said, this is the true twist. As I am writing this, I still wonder why I put that summary as it is. This part changes everything. Meanwhile, back in the story. I collapsed, suddenly. I then saw a shadow looming over me. "This is the one I have been told about then." said the shadow. "Yes," replied a smaller figure next to him. "Rangers, seize him!" A group of people, armed with many weapons, rushed over to me and picked me up. I guess at that point I just passed out, because then I awoke in a building. Looking out the window, I saw the inn was just a few blocks down the road. Then, that shadow walked in. I could see him clearly now. He was a rather tall man, with with a yellow cloak. Then, he put his hand in front of me. An ominous force began drifting towards me, the strange man's hand glowing eerily.
I woke up again about 2 hours late, to find something strange: I was a wolf. No, not a werewolf like you see in Twilight and all that; An actual wolf. My silver fur glinted in the light of the moon as I ran outside. |

Its good, but each chapter is the size of two paragraphs? |

Yes. It is only a short story, when its finished it will hopefully be equivalent to about 4 6 page long chapters in reality. |
